    Good question!

I'm in Germany, what winter beers should I be looking to drink???

All of them, any of them. Winter beer releases are some of my favorites. I like it when breweries start putting out heavyweight dark beers, creative winter warmers, the last of the pumpkin wave, and coffee/cream porters or stouts. Winter is fantastic for beer.

Although the calendar says fall technically. I look forward to Cold Mountain from Highland and Event Horizon from Olde Hickory. They both usually come out around Thanksgiving or just after. I call that winter enough. But that SN Snowpack looks pretty nice too!

Never had it. If I stumbled across it maybe? I was dead set on not adding to InBev's profit margins. But I got dogged when I started that thread. But, considering everyone says its made with such quality, I would like to see how it stands up to Event Horizon, which is also a barrel aged Imperial Stout.

Celebration. I put a sixtel in the kegerator every year. Yes it's probably overrated but I like it.
Also looking forward to some of the Belgian Christmas beers. Stateline Liquors by me has the best selection I have seen of seasonal Belgian brews.

Event Horizon is an outstanding comparison. A little more subtle on the bourbon side than BCBS but more integrated than KBS (all of which I like). Another good regional example of this style is 3 Bros Resolute in Northwestern VA but not sure when it is released--I think there is a spring release for sure.

Interesting that you said its an outstanding comparison. I opened a thread a while back about not being interested in BCBS because of its connection with InBev. I have since changed my mind and I would try it. Its ignorant on my part to make such statements without trying something everyone thinks is so good. However, several people said there was no comparison with BCBS and Event Horizon, in favor of BCBS. I am now more interested in trying BCBS just from a comparative standpoint. I have had Event Horizon every year since I learned about it four years ago, and think its one of the best bourbon barrel aged stouts I have ever had. I will also have to find the 3 Bros as well.
