There was a thread a little while back about favorite/next big hop varieties and someone mentioned Cashmere hops..

After doing a little research on the subject (melon/lemon/lime notes) it seems that it would be worth a try but other than an Odell one-off IPA i can't to find anything that uses them...

Anyone know any specific beers using Cashmere hops (extra kudos if its available in CA)?

    Thanks!

Triple Voodoo Brewing out of San Francisco has a series called 'Stag Hop', and they're most current (Stag Hop #2) is single-hopped in the kettle with Cashmere, then dry-hopped with it as well.

    Edit:

    It's a 6.1% American Pale Ale / 40 IBU

    Cheers!

From what I've read they sound tropical and creamy.... if you crossed Jai Alai with Pliny, I'd try that.....

Educated guess here, but I suspect the name comes from the town of Cashmere in Eastern Washington.

I got ahold of some last year and used them in a dry hopped Saison. It was wonderful.
