The Locals HINTS AND HAULS THREAD

Hint #2: I've worked in Produce for 7 and a half years now. I don't love everything about my job, but if there's one fruit or vegetable I love to talk about and eat, it's peppers. Salsa is like crack to me.

With that being said, I hope my target likes food with peppers as well.

 

Local Bakery that makes cookies? A soda that is made in chicago? Sounds like @cultclassic89 is on the salsa train ...

 

Or hot sauce...

 

Or Spam.

Was just making other suggestions like the cookies, or sodas noted before. But they do make a hot and spicy spam.

 

Depending on how literal you take this, this could mean I'm your target. I'm pretty sure all the 'state' football teams either lost or are not represented in this BIF other than Carolina. Or you could mean that the only team in your target's state won, regardless of whether its named for the state or not, in which case I have you down to 4 targets. Or you could just mean that any NFL in the target's state won this weekend, in case I have you down to 12 targets.

 

So my box is packed up and ready to go. It's getting dropped off tomorrow and should reach its final destination of Friday. Although I am not hitting the 300 ounce mark like some I think my target will be very happy. This box is topping out at 220 ounces. I am hitting 5 wants (technically 6) and the beers in the box have an average rating of 88. It is made up of mostly locals but also has a few wants that aren't local to me.

 

I promise I'm not sending spam. I apologize to my target if you were hoping for spam.

I completely forgot until just recently about the local treat to be thrown in the box... there's a local chip place that makes, from what I understand, a pretty good crab chip (I'm not a huge fan of the style, so I wouldn't know, but I still doubt it tops some others out there), but there's also a local chip place that makes some ridiculously good (in my and many others' opinion) BBQ chips. I'm trying to get my entire shipment to fit in one box though, so I dunno how big of a bag of either of those I can send... hmm....

 

I was actually thinking that deep dish pizza would be an appropriate "treat" for you to send.

 

Any Monty Python fans on here? Because if there are, two of us could fill a couple of pages with spam-related posts. Spam the food(?) product, not the internet kind.

Hey target... Heading south to the Dolphin game this coming weekend. Hoping to pick up a few more local gems. I only have 1/2 a box packed. I am usually an early shipper. Either way, expect some Florida sunshine to head North and not east coast.

Went shopping today, had an hour to kill and was near my favorite bottle shop that lets me in their back stock room/cellar now. Stopped in a pawn shop and looked at a couple guns, then went over there and looked around for a few minutes and ended up going home $40 less rich with 2 really delicious brews. There were more I wanted, but might have to wait until I get paid on thursday.



2012 Nelson Sauvingnon Brut, and Lost abbey deliverance ale. I have had BB serpent, and Brandy barrel Angels share, a mix between the 2 should be delicous. I had them put back a few bottles of this, and brandy barrel angels share for me. Just in case I like this one, but at $15 for 375, damn...
