Wow the Rum Oil is gone already?

 

Glad I saw this...was just getting ready to make the 3.5 hour drive down to get some Rum Oil haha

 

Well, I'll be down there this afternoon. Will confirm for you. I was just going by their website.

 

BA Dark App sold out at the last release weekend.

Its probably just an omission on their site and they infact do have Rum Oil.

If Rum Oil is indeed out, I wonder if some of the beer did not pass QA or something because they were passing out Rum Oil labels at the last release. Maybe they bottled fewer than they thought they would have?

 

Didn't buy any Rum Oil, but they apparently did have some yesterday.

Hey folks--a little off topic but for anyone going to the anniversary party in December who's entering the Upland sours lottery that's open right now, I can pick up anyone's Upland bottles and bring them to Jackie O's for you in December. I will be traveling through Indianapolis at the beginning of November on a work trip and have already told a bunch of friends I'll pick up their winnings so I don't mind doing this for anyone else who needs a trustee. Even if you already have a trustee, this would save you the cost of shipping. Not asking for anything in return, and I have plenty of trade references (including Jackie O's regulars) to attest I'm not going to steal your bottles or anything. Just message me privately if you're interested.

 

Anybody heard what the next 375ml bottles to be released this year will be?

 

Brad mentioned that they will be doing a BB Brick Kiln at some point in the future though I don't know if it will be the next release.

 

I heard bourbon Brick Kiln, Oloroso Brick Kiln and bourbon Wood Burner are all coming in 375's by the end of the year.

 

I am excited for all of those! Oloroso Brick Kiln and Bourbon Wood Burner sound like good winter evening beers. I know some sours will be in the picture for 2015, I cannot wait for Dynamo to be bottled. One of the best raspberry beers I have ever had. So glad Jackie O's decided to produce 375ml bottles.

 

^ Dynamo Hum is going to be available outside the special releases?

 

I talked to Brad at the last release, while waiting in line, and I asked him about when dynamo would be in the 375ml bottles. He told me sometime in 2015, I think he said they had 42 barrels of dynamo aging right now.

 

Nice! Looking forward to that.

Ermahgerd.....all of those sours, and the unnamed bottles sound incredible. Looks like Brad and Art will be hitting another grand slam with this event.
