Hello. I've seen a new label for Victory Harvest Ale in 12 oz bottles. The brewery does not list it in their roster as a bottled release. Further, I saw a week or so ago Victory announcing their arrival of the harvest hops and mentioning harvest ale. Still, there is nothing specific to the release.

Can anyone shed any light on this wet hop pale ale?

    Thanks

Well if the hops just arrived last week, I think it's safe to assume that you are looking at at least another month before any of it hits the shelf.

Yes, I agree, but they show the label on the sliding banner of the website...with no information whatsoever, so I'm not sure if it is a wide release. I want some.

Thanks man. That recipe differs from the centennial and cascade one expressed in older information. Can't wait

Got some on Friday. Bought a 4pk at GE Shadyside. Drank 2 Saturday. Bought 2 more 4pks on Sunday. It's exceptional. It reminds me of Head Hunter. Very simcoe forward with that pungent juicy/piney combo. I haven't reviewed it yet but I'd say this will be in the 4.4 to 4.6 range for me. 8.99 for the 4pk though which is a little steep but it's well worth it.

Yes, it might be a little steep if you're used to paying less for quality beer but by buying 2 more 4 pks after the first one, you have proven that you get what you pay for and that quality doesn't often come cheap.

Ya, $13.50 a 6pk is a little more than I'd like to pay but it's well worth it imo.

My point exactly. But I draw a soft line above a $14.99 sixer [it really has to be exceptional] and a hard line at the $19.99 six packs [I'll only buy it if I'm sure I'll never see it again at any price].

I don't have any news about bottles, but I had it on draft Saturday nigh and it was fantastic. Way better that I thought it would be. Don't complain about pricing until you've tried it because I was happy to pay $6 per pint.

Those that have had it, where does it rank compared to Hop Ranch or Dirt Wolf?

Will this hit their full distribution?? Sounds delicious. Drinking a Dirtwolf right now and loving it

I will not provide a ranking but the hop quality is very different. If I had to use two words to describe Victory Harvest Ale it would be "pleasantly pungent". I would use totally different words to describe Hop Ranch and DirtWolf.

    Cheers!

Dirt wolf blows hop ranch away in my opinion , can't wait for the wet hop victory harvest ale. Thank you for the reminder.

They had it on tap at Victory last week, it was delicious, a cleaner and more refreshing version of Dirtwolf. This year's release was made using Mosaic and Citra hops. I picked up a case in their retail shop for $40. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Its awesome! Had it right off the line at the brewery. Ok ill stop bragging :stuck_out_tongue:

But really, if this is a bit cheaper than dirtwolf, i will buy a case. If its the same price, ill buy a case.... Very good.

Not out yet, im thinking next month in NJ

So it'll be a month old by the time it gets to Jersey. Typical.

Actually, on second thought, that's insanely fresh by High Grade standards. Nothing but 6 month old Dirtwolf and Firestone products on the shelves here.
