Echoing other thoughts, Whole Foods Venice and El Segundo, along with the Pasadena locales should definitely be called out. Would also make sure to list Father's Office Culver City, since it's a hell of a lot bigger than the Santa Monica spot. Also:

    - People seem to like the Daily Pint (Santa Monica), so maybe add that?
    - The "Public School" locations (various)
    - Congregation Alehouse (all locations)
    - Beverage Warehouse (no "rare" brews outside of Pliny, but still a good spot to stop by if you're in the area)
    - The Tripel (Playa del Rey) -- though not at the top of the list
    - Abigaile (Hermosa)
    - Simmzy's (Long Beach and Manhattan)

good work so far ..but it's like the Los Angeles angels of Anaheim.. They don't play in LA and the first 5 breweries listed aren't out here either

One more thing.. I understand Buzz bottle shop downtown gets a lot of heat for marking up prices on SOME bottles .. Not all.. But they deserve to be listed as they have a good selection for out of towners looking for so cal flavors.. I've been able to get Alpine bottles there too.. Sure the staff don't know shit about beer, but there's been gems there recently

Nice work! Everybody's given you the additions I would have suggested (Glendale Tap is my favorite bar in the entire described area), so my only add would be to mention the vegan options at Tony's Darts Away, too, since you've got it next to Mohawk Bend (for which I thank you, as a vegan).

The point of these threads isn't to stay within city limits, it's to give a primer to people visiting an area. Half of San Diego's breweries aren't in the City of San Diego, but it's entirely logical to group them into a Visiting San Diego thread. You could argue that OC and LA could be separate threads, but I think that a Visiting Los Angeles thread can easily cover both counties.

Right. Especially because nearly all of the worthwhile OC breweries are in Northern OC.

If we're venturing into OC a bit more, however:

    - Whole Foods Tustin and Laguna Niguel
    - Various Total Wines in the area...

Naja's Place is a must add to the list of beer bars.

I agree with this, though, it's worth emphasizing the locations of these destinations on a list by keeping them separated by a location header with neighborhood/town in parenthesis (e.g. the following:

    Los Angeles
    Golden Road (atwater village)
    Eagle Rock (glassell park)

    OC
    Bruery (placentia)
    Bottle Logic (anaheim)
    )

@Xul just sounds like y'all wanna give visiting beer geeks a taste of LA traffic just as much as a taste of our beer

I'm not an LA resident (or OC for that matter), I'd rather fellate a hot curling iron than live there. I can, however see the justification for including OC into an LA travel thread. It's similar to how you'd include Berkeley into an SF thread - make it clear that you don't want to be driving back and forth, but someone travelling to LA for beer is probably going to want to swing through OC to hit a few good spots.

The thing is, you can take the BART to Berkeley and it'll only take about 40 min. No such option to get to Placentia from LA.

Really like this idea, well done - that being said, no one has mentioned Blue Palms yet which I think deserves a spot on the list as well.

I'm not trying to get people to drive to the Bruery from san Fernando valley, I'm trying to get a guide together that someone can come here and find out what is near where they will be. This area is pretty daunting to visitors and new comers.

Yes, Vendome in Beverly Hills has reopened in their new location on Robertson/Olympic. My favorite bottle shop in LA.

Def need to add Daily Pint, Surly Goat, Blue Palms, and Father's Office Culver location, as others have mentioned.

Also, City Tavern in Culver City has a consistently solid, rotating tap list (I believe they also opened a downtown location, though I haven't been yet).

    Great job overall, though!
