    Just pulled a Lairds Apple Brandy Big Black Voodoo Daddy '13 out of the cellar to combat a shitty day at work. Holy @$!&$@-"+$!: this thing is top-notch.

    The deets on this don't match either the summer or winter 2014 versions already on BA. I'm assuming summer, but the ABV is 5.9%.

    Not bad, but would have been better a couple months back methinks.

    A few new beers in today's samples: Oude Tart (left), Anderson Kimmie (right, actually not new to me), Sly Fox Royal Weiss (middle) to get off the sour train. Actuall sipped some of my girlfriend's Crooked Tree "Ollopa".

    The Iude Tart was quite wonderful, but cost has me debating a second glass. Kimmie is almost more sour than Gose. Crooked Tree was decent, Sly Fix is ok.

    It's okay. Pretty bitter on the back end, slightly juicy, but mostly citrus and pretty earthy/dank. Lasting bitterness.

    Not too far from Johnny Hash, but not as good, IMO. Citra was the reason the JH worked. This beer is Simcoe/Centennial.

    The grill is definitely adding to the color of it but its really dark compared to most double ipas.
