I'm new to North Carolina and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Olde Hickory's Lindley Park and Event Horizon for the first time. I know that Event Horizon releases sometime in November and Lindley Park is sometime in October. Seeing that we are well into October now, I was hoping someone had heard word of when Olde Hickory is releasing the 2014 batch of Lindley.

    Thanks - Matt

I'm hearing RUMORS that both will be pushed out a month later.

Hope they made more Lindley this year. Last year was fairly hard to find yet I could find Event Horizon well into the summer (probably still can). They must have made a shit ton of EH last year.

I'm in Greensboro and just looked through Bestway's facebook posts from last year. Their 2013 shipment arrived on October 10th.

Yeah many more EH bottles last year as that's what was planned. And that 2013 batch was unbelievably good!

In Charlotte there is still plenty of Event Horizon available off the shelf. I am surprised as it is a fantastic beer!

I like Event Horizon ten times more than Lindley Park.

@brawleys had EH a month or so ago if I remember correctly. Probably still has some. EH is a great beer for sure. He would be one of the first in CLT to get Lindley this year if it were coming out soon.

Yeah EH went from selling out in the area within a few days to this year being a 12 month shelf turd. And yes it is really really good. I think the issue is that we went from just a few BBA stouts to many choices now. Why buy 6 of EH when you can buy 3 EH and save money to try other 3 new ones out there (which is what I did).

Not sure if it was a buying error on the part of bottle shops overestimating how many they would sell or if it is just truly not selling as well as it used to.

I liked Lindley Park better than EH last year. Maybe it's just because I only had a couple as opposed to all the EH you can drink. Either way I was wondering myself when this would hit this year, want to get several.

Old Hickory produced an insane amount of EvHo last year which made me happy as hell!! Not having to hoard that beer throughout the year was a nice surprise. Now if Green Man would just do the same with Maceo and Wicked Weed with the French Toast Stout, i wouldn't have to seek out new beers. As JB would say........Satisfied, with my world!!

I have not had either LP or EH, I am excited to try both this year.

Should be soon for LP, but I prefer EH as well, a great beer at a great price. Sane ABV too, but not thin either.

I thought Event Horizon last year was quite thin actually. My only complaint about it.

^^^ it's not BCBS it terms of viscosity, but decent mount feel for a sub 10% Abv brew.
