Nothing better than a long run on a weekend morning followed by a nice bitter hoppy beer with a big breakfast/brunch. When I do that I rarely continue drinking all day but probably will later that night. Other than that unless I'm tailgating, I won't drink until I'm done with work and working out.

I generally don't drink until lunch, but I would potentially drink anything in the morning if I wanted a beer at that time.

FBS would be my breakfast beer during the cold weather months, and normally a shandy/radler during the warm weather. Bonus points if it comes in a can and doubles as a shower beer.

I don't care what time of the day it is. If I want a beer, I am going to have one. Work/ kids/ exercise dictate often. I dont find it shocking how much of a negative connotation is still associated with alcohol in this country. ("5 oclock somewhere"), but I would find it surprising to see that attitude conveyed/implied on this site. I am not trying to call anyone out because I dont know that anyone has. Just stating an opinion. Drinking doesnt always = drunk or unproductive. There are many days where I feel like having Founders Breakfast Stout instead of food for breakfast, or a couple of Pumkin Beers for dessert after dinner.

Short answer to question - sometimes I continue to drink all day. Sometimes its 1 and done.

Love some of the responses on here - Jesus. I'm not getting the vibe from the OP that he's regularly drinking a beer for breakfast (and even if he is, who are we to judge? Who knows what his schedule is?)

Anyway - OP - occasionally I've been known to have a morning beer (on a beer-centric vacation, or at the odd brunch where I have a beer rather than something like a bloody mary or coffee). And to be honest, for me personally, whether it's a one and done or not, it definitely cuts into productivity. So I only do it if I know I don't really have much to do for the rest of the day, and wasn't planning on working out.

Well I have found that once I have something good for b-fast like FBS, I can't get anything done for the rest of the day, cuz of all the booze I just consumed, that's why I'm liking the Stone Coffee Milk, sessionable no guilt and it doesn't make me want to nap after

beer in the morning is great just don't expect to be motivated, but to all the other people hinting at morning drinking is an indication of a "problem" fuck off. What is your argument that it matters what time of day you should be drinking, for true craft beer enjoyers, it is meant to be an experience when you drink, and some beers taste amazing with breakfast. Try FBS with peanut butter toast, amazing. I rest my case.

I think a beer for breakfast might be better than "a couple of Rockstars/Monsters."

Once or twice a year, I'll have a beer early in the day (like when I'm brewing that day, for instance). I like a bracing DIPA or something sharply sour at times like that.

Morning beers are excellent for pregaming for a day of sports, particularly football, but otherwise I tend to avoid them as it ruins any chance of me doing anything for the rest of the day.

I don't drink before I've had my daily run, and on the weekends when I'm not in my busy season, the earliest that would be is around 12 noon. And even then, I think that's still too early - unless you're tailgating (and that's an entirely different story).

lol I never said several. A couple on some days. Or iced coffee. Need to at least wake up first to even think about drinking.
