    Sierra Nevada Vienna Lager. Another solid beer from a solid brewery, I enjoy almost every thing they do. Cross posted with the intrepid boys and girls over at NBS . I chose the Fall Sampler over the Snow Pack that just came in, but I'll get that one on the next go around, cheers![​IMG]

    Transient Artisan Ales Wayward 100% Brett Pale Ale hopped with Citra and Amarillo. Wonderful notes of mango, pineapple, grapefruit and orange candy, spicy floral, and a slight dank pine from the hops are extremely well balanced by the fruity, slightly tart, and funky brett. In terms of craft beer, Chicago pretty much has it all…except for a brewery that focuses and executes on sours. That brewery has finally come. Although only a gypsy brewery at this point, the brewer Chris Betts really knows what he is doing. Keep an eye out for this brewery if you are in the Chicago area. Cheers!

    Had a coupla each o' these highly-regarded hoppy pales today...

    Different styles (well... :rolling_eyes: 7.0 vs. 8.7 abv) and bottling datings...

    "Month-old" Two Hearted was crisper and slicker than the "6-weeks-left" DirtWolf, which was softer and fuzzier; more citrus to the 'Wolf, too, whereas the 2H had more of that shellac character. As the 2H warms toward room temp, it takes on an almost English ale profile. The 'Wolf is more like a strong IPA than a DIPA (if that makes sense). No barleywine here... :stuck_out_tongue:

    Meanwhile, awful football prognostications this week. Started off badly with Houston losing to Indy.
    Didn't know Luck was like, undefeated ( :confused:? ) on Thursday nights.
    And today? Stupid Steelers, Vikings, and Jaguars... :angry:
    Stupid me... :slight_frown:

    Hey, it's not the end of the world, right?
