So a local gas station down the street started offering single 16oz cans of Torpedo at the beginning of the year for $1.54. At first, I thought it was a promotional deal, but its almost been a year strong. Around my parts, a good deal on Torpedo is a 6pk for $7.99, which is roughly 11¢/oz. The single 16oz cans are roughly 9¢/oz. My question is, how are they able to sell the pints for a mere $1.54? *sorry if my math was off.
I noticed them at a Tom Thumb on Saturday, and all I could think was, based on the usual beer buying clientele of gas stations, how are they able to sell 16 oz cans of any DIPA? The same place had a walk-in beer cave with BMC stacked to the ceiling, and one six pack of Victory Summer Love.
