While I do think that Wulver and Big Sound are great beers, they don't even come close to Backwoods. This is the king of barrel aged wee heavy.

Is there a way to half-like a post? I like the first half of your statement but not the second half.

Taste is obviously personal. I think they both are in the same league. I happily drink all three. Easier to procure Backwoods in volume, however. By far.

My favorite Founders brew. Really hoping to score some. I think its better than KBS.

This brewery does so many things right. Feel quite blessed to have them in Arizona now.

We still have cases of this stuff sitting on the floor at TW from Jan. 2013.

Didn't know this spent over a year in barrels. Good to know I guess.

Lucky duck. Or don't they like top flight BBA Scotch ale in SC? Hard to believe given all the Scots immigrants I hear hit the Old South way back when. Coincidentally I had a Backwoods from my small 2013 stash just last night and it was still A W E S O M E. If last year is any indication, Western Mass. probably won't get the 2014 until around Christmas.

Yep. I am a big CW fan, but I think Backwoods is a clear step above.

This is great news after watching Rev Gravedigger Billy hit stores this week at $17 for a bomber.

Will be on the hunt for it in MA and RI, luckily we get quite a few of the Founders brews.

Yeah, no kidding...which store? It sells out in NC in a matter of days if not hours!

For real. In Michigan it's about the same. On the bright side, you can get it on tap at Founder's for months after, but that's pretty far from Metro Detroit.

It's not that bad in Michigan. I mean, it goes, but it sticks around way longer than a lot of other special releases so you don't have to deal with the signing up for lottery BS.

Still have like half a case left from last year. Still tasty, too.

I agree. We did side by side and BB came out thinner than BA Big Sound. I love them both but give the edge to BABS. Wulver was super hot fresh and smoothed out nicely after 6 months.

Blame the distributors. They should have cultivated a strong enough relationship w/ Founders by this point to warrant first dibs on most releases.
