Thought I had the hops figured out

    WRONG...I was at a Red Hare tasting tonite, the rep is talking about Gangway IPA, says it's brewed with 4 hop varieties. So I do my tasting, and let my 20 years of homebrewing experience take over and think "I've got this"...so I go over to him after he finished and said, "let me guess, cascade, centennial, mosaic, and Amarillo"... 1 for 4, only got the cascade right, I will be turning in a beer geek card later. In my defense, I had 2 pints of Great Divide Sheep Eater before I tried it

    since hop breeders probably cross breed hops your probably a lot closer than you would think. *Monsanto

    Maybe the brewery rep was keeping a trade secret secret and threw you off with the reply. :wink:

    Williamette, Chinook, Cascade and dry hopped with Falconers Flight

    If the cascade hops was the highest % used of the four, then that's still something, right?

    You did.You did. Falconer Flight is a mixed pellet that I've been told contains Amarillo and Centennial as well as others, maybe mosaic? If so 4/4 if not 3/4.
