I've gotta disagree with both of these. Both are fine beers (Dragon's Milk less so in my opinion), but CW's non-anniversary beers are very thin for the style, and Dragon's Milk is also pretty watery (but also sticky, so maybe that's what you're saying).

Hoppin' Frog DORIS. It's thicker than BORIS.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
Had a couple founders breakfast stouts tonight. Pretty good.
Looking forward to trying some of your picks if I can find them.

The only problem with "thick" stouts is the need to hit the treadmill the next day to work of your own "thickness"

And you can replace your engine's oil with it.

Ten Fidy is so good for a winter warm you up.

Prairie Bomb! is not THICK. Also, he would have to hire a chartered flight to get it.

Twenty-one posts to get a mention for Founders Imperial Stout?!? For shame fellow Beer Advocates. For shame.

That said, there are a lot of other good ones listed here. After FIS, Ten Fidy, Old Rasputin and Narwhal come to mind.

EDIT: just realized the OP mentioned FIS himself. Mea culpa. I swear I can read good.

Bell's expedition stout is a very good thick stout. You can't go wrong with old Rasputin either. If you like a little flavoring in your stout try stone's milk stout or bell's java stout. I almost forgot about Brooklyn's black chocolate stout...tasty.

yes, plead the fifth also has the qualities you mentioned.. it won in hands down in blind tasting some friends and I had .. beating out some other heavy hitters like founders imperial stout, expedition stout, blackout stout, ten fidy, and lion stout ... on side a note I highly recommend blind tasting, it eliminates the hype and you find out what you really like.. one guy swore up and down that the lion stout was his fav and KNEW he would rate it fist since he drinks it daily... he ended up having it as the worst beer... needless to say he got a lot of shit

I think plead the fifth may be a little better tasting than expedition but a quite a bit more $

    FIS duh

    Expedition of course

Though not super thick, I say Peche Mortel. Then again, anytime I hear the word stout my mind wanders to Peche Mortel

Founders imperial stout is a top 3 beer for me. Narwhal is also awesome (and inexpensive )
Fegley's insidious is pretty damn good too.
tenfidy is good but overpriced. I'll never buy it again.

As good as it is (for the style), it's a pretty long shot from Zhukov, Ten Fidy, or FIS. Those beers look like solids compared to Left Hand's most famous brew.
