    ok listen fellow BA's, I'll be honest every once and a while i need something like, a baseline from which to refresh my appreciation for the subtle nuances of the craft brews for which i appreciate so regularly, that is where PBR comes in i'll admit it i got a 12 pack for the weekend, along with two berserker imperial stouts but still. you need to cleanse your palate with the bottom of the beer chain to fully appreciate the top of the beer chain :grinning:!

    Morning everyone! I am bright eyed and bushy tailed after a night of frolicsome beer fun that was beervana. What a terrific crowd. I even ran into our very own @Jason . Sorry if the pics are upside down but this isn't my computer. On the evening, my favorite beers were ruby rye by trinity brewhouse, the captains daughter by grey sail, you founne by cantillon, opal by firestone walker, the leipzig gose, oak aged triple by smuttynose, and lastly derrivitave by proclamation ale company. My favorite brew crew was the brooklyn table. Great group of guys having a great time! I got a pic of me with the head of founders but its on someone else's phone and I must have tried 30 beers! Today it's on to Jacks abby and then a bottle share tonight with the Trillium that I bought and I am going to brew my very first beer today, a tripel.[​IMG] Cheers everyone!

    Last night - me, @JdoubleA & the owner/brewer genius behind Olde Hickory Brewing (Steven Lyerly) did a blind tasting of some of the best English Barleywines in the world. The three standouts are on the left - the amazing Blendiculous, King Henry & Bourbon County. The others certainly weren't duds, Serenity didn't belong in the group, IMO.

    Incredible night.

    I guess I am technically drinking beer, because I just tried a sip of my homebrewed altbier that's been sitting in the fermenter for two weeks. The gravity dropped, so it's no longer wort. I guess that means it's beer! Tastes great!
