I have been loving, like everyone, NG fruit beers. Can anyone suggest other fruit beers I should try? Thanks for the help and cheers to everyone!

Evil Twin Justin Blabaer isn't too bad for a fruit beer. Otherwise my recommendation would be to continue drinking NG fruit beers and getting your hands on ones you haven't tried. There's no fruit beer out there better than a New Glarus fruit beer.

That's what I thought, but why not throw it out there. Thanks @Sunn and @sweetcell.

Just get more of the New Glarus fruit beer...for the value and taste, I doubt there is anything better out there.

I think Rubaeus is very artificial and medicinal tasting. Blushing Monk, even though it's basically imperial Rubaeus, was leagues better. Cerise is pretty blah, too.

Jester King's fruits are awesome but of course more "wild" than most NG offerings. I think GI does good stuff in that realm, especially with age, but they're pricey. Cantillon, Casey's Blending, Side Project, and SARA go without saying but are difficult to come by (and sour). If you like weird, DFH has a lot of good options.

Call me a homer, but as far as beer representations of fruit without going the fruited wild/lambic route, NG is hard to beat.

Liefmans Cuvee Brut is very solid, as is Kasteel Rouge.

Fruit beers are a favorite style of mine! Off the top of my head, here's some excellent ones:

All four of Samuel Smith's Organic Fruit Ales (I'm most partial to Strawberry but that's because of my strawberry bias)
    Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout
    Dogfish Head Aprihop

What's your favorite fruit? That might spark some more specific example in my mind. Cheers!

This BA speaks truth. I'm not too familiar with what's available in Virginia, but if you have a New Glarus hookup, don't fix it if it ain't broke.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about Dogfish Head Aprihop and Festina Peche. Those are the best two "fruit beers" that I've tried (besides NG). Once again, nothing will compare to New Glarus' fruit beers, though. Honestly, though, New Glarus fruit beers are the cream of the crop.

I talked to an 80 year old woman who hates every fruit beer & beer she's ever tried despite New Glarus fruit beers at the brewery. That's 80 years worth of trying crappy fruit beers and finally stumbling the best there is.

New Glarus is less than 2 hours away from me, and my buddy is in Wisconsin right now. He works there often as well. I could easily get fruity with all of you. I'm not gay.

Beating on that horse some more...if it's fruit beers you want, NG >>>>>> anything else out there. Get yourself a solid WI NG trade partner, and keep him/her on a constant trade loop!

OP, midas touch is awful. I guess technically it can be considered a fruit beer because it has "grapes" in it. But instead of spending about $11 for a four pack just crush some grapes into some bud light but only one grape per bottle, no skin.

Samuel Smith's fruit beers are pleasant, even though I am not a fruit beer fan, they are pretty good on a hot summer afternoon.

If you can get more NG fruit beers that would be best but the lindemans fruit beers are very tasty as is founders rubaeus. I think the lindemans beers are probably most similar to the NG beers.

I agree with this. I was expecting to not like it but it pleasantly surprised me.

As for my suggestion, it's expensive, but Echt Kriekenbier is fantastic.

It's truly amazing just how head & shoulders above and beyond everyone else New Glarus is as it relates to fruit beers. I've often wondered if anyone will come along and even pursue that niche, much less approach their level.
