    sems like a lot of Leon's are popping up on the forum lately. Beware, my group opened one, that was said to have been stored in a beer fridge since it was bought, and it was garbage. Tasted terrible, nothing even reminiscent of what leon used to be.

    Popped one a few months back for my cousins nuptials, was stored in a box since release, was as amazing as ever....none the less, good information to know.

    Any possibility that it may have gotten too hot sitting in someone's car one day? Sorry to hear that's your group got a bad batch.

    Had one last weekend that was still fantastic albeit showing signs of oxidation (to be expected). But i see it still being good for awhile.

    Yeah mine could have been the exception to the rule. The guy who sent it to me was kinda a dick when I talked to him about, had no sympathy and told me to eff off and that I was calling him a liar when I hinted that he may have stored it improperly. Anywho, you win some, you lose some, the nature of the trading game.

    Maybe you guys don't know what Leon is supposed to taste like? We've opened several over the past couple of years and they've all been great!

    Mine tasted like barrel aged Bubblicious....it was amazing.

    Maybe your palates were blown out

    Nah Raymo. You get a hint of pre-chewed up Big League Chew grape in it. Shit was bomb.

    Mine had been in a non climate controlled shed for like 6 months, though. I like to see what the elements can do to beer - like the olden days of storing beer underground.

    So if I trade for a beer and don't like it, the person owes me another. Hope so, traded for some Odell's Myrcenry (?). Was not impressed at all.

    That's why I left it alone, I will never mention the guy's name as a bad trader. I just think if the situation was reversed I would have sent a box of something as a sorry your beer sucked, wouldn't have necessarily sent the beer he sent me back.
