    Well Lucy was happy she got her walk in today, even let her chase a few squirrels.
    Pot of Homemade Spaghetti/Lasagna sauce simmering on the stove.
    Getting ready to fire up the Akorn, Gonna Smoke a Lasagna for supper.
    Found a couple of these guys hiding in the back of the Beer Fridge, Better take care of them

    For a style that's not well know in Belgium so far , they did a good job ,
    Offcorse US IPA's are still better , worldclass ! But we're getting better
    But hey , we can't best best in ALL beerstyle's :wink:

    Truth told, if you guys start to like IPA, you probably will end up to brew the best in the world, like you do the rest of the styles you enjoy. Cheers!

    There's still a loooong way to go before Belgium will beat the US if it come's to IPA's and IIPA's
    Man , i can't imagine that i go to a store around the corner and get IPA's IIPA's like they brew at HF , Alchimist etc etc ,
    Wow man , i had a dream !!

    Dude, I have to pinch myself to see if all this is real, or am I dreaming. It is like every prayer I ever prayed about beer has come true, but better. The Focal Banger I am drinking now is so stupid delicious, so tasty and refreshing, interesting, makes the palate feel at peak, the aroma perfume to the nose every time glass meets lip, such hop artistry, yeast mastery, balance, understanding.

    I can't wait for the day your brewers try beers like this, get inspired, and I get to try what they come up with:slight_smile:

    Okay, so the first one isn't beer, and I rarely drink ciders, but when I saw this at the grocery store I was too intrigued to not buy a 6-pack. Woodchuck Hopsation, a hop forward cider infused with Cascade. I actually drank this like 4 hours ago. Sadly it didn't really taste hoppy to me. Even more sadly it didn't taste good to me. I really regret buying a 6er.

    Thanks. So our initial mash temp was low but the wort as it was boiling smells nutty floury a bit husky. Malt has a dry spice of it's own and I never noticed that before. The wort filed over at one point and that's bad if you scorch it. That would be burnt sugar then. After we added the hops it smelled like orange, orange peel, hop spice, herbal. The simcoe are really pungent. I love those. We tasted the cigar city brown. I loved it.

    It has no bitterness, finishes dry malty with a sweet breath of cocoa, toffee and caramel. [​IMG]


    The beer smelled sweet and good throuought the hop boils but int eh glass the hops are too bitter. Now we are about to pitch the yeast. =)

    This is my birthday present. The Madison brewery Karben4 finally began bottling and distributing around town. They started with Wisconsin's best IPA, Fantasy Factory. Cheers!
