If only the distributor realized it was fine to have these as "shelf" beers as it makes our beer scene better.

Abyss and The Dissident. I'd have no problem buying those by the caseload.

Seen at most Spec's. At almost $20 a pop, it's not exactly flying off shelves. They might as well put this in a 3 pack with Mirror Mirror, and NTS and market it that way.

The Spec's 249 and Spring Cypress has them collecting dust on the shelf.

Not a marketing genius, but if people aren't buying $16 bombers why would they buy a $45+ 3 pack that may include a beer, or two, they don't want?

There's a name for this phenomenon, but I can't remember what it is. Basically, people will buy things that are a "perceived bargain" even if they don't actually want/need them. This is the entire business model of Costco & Sam's Club. You don't need 128 bags of Doritos (and probably can't eat them before they expire) but when they're 2/3 of the price of what you'd pay per ounce if you bought Doritos normally, HOW CAN YOU AFFORD NOT TO?!

The next time you go buy a 20-oz coke instead of a 12-oz, for example, ask yourself the same question. "If I'm not buying a $1 coke, why would I buy a $1.25 larger size that includes a few ounces I don't need?"

I don't think that's the right comparison. What you're describing is more like buying a 12 pack vs a 6 pack of the same beer, not buying 3 beers together than can be purchased individually. Unless Deschutes hypothetically dropped the price of the 3-in-1 vs each individually.

Still plenty in the cooler at Central Market in San Antonio on Broadway. $15.99

Oh sorry I thought that was implied in the original suggestion of $45, since $16 x 3 = $48.

Yeah I should have just typed 48 since i meant for them all to be the same price, I just rounded it to 45. The way you read it and responded, I know what you're saying

Potranco and 1604 heb. I didn't snag any since I already brought too much back from San Diego last week. Love that beer though

I think the price points for all of their bombers are too high. Abyss is by far the best offering, but I'm not sure I'd pay more than $16 for one...unlikely for multiples. I wouldn't pay more than $13 for any of their other seasonal barrel offerings. They are very good beers though.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's everywhere here. Worst case scenario, I'll grab you a bottle.

West of NM, this is shelf beer; cases stacked at most places. Worst case for anyone ISO, EASY trade.

I saw it hit only one store today in Austin. Curious if others will get it soon or if that was Sunrise knowing how to sweet talk the distributor into giving it to them since it is just sitting in their warehouse.

I had no trouble finding 24 25 and 26 in Houston.... without searching... found at Specs and HEB both times. I think they have kept upping production though... 25 and 26 were easier than 24.. and 26 is still the most prevalent.
