Rumor I've heard is late October for Lindley, Late November for Event.

The new labels are sharp. I met the designer last week, nice guy.

Did he happen to design the Natty Greene's labels too? It appears they are somewhat similar.

Respectfully disagree. 2013 was an excellent batch IMO and much better than 2012. If I had any left I'd share it with you and start an argument. Then I'd open something else to share. Cheers!

I didnt have any 2012, but I do still have a bottle of last year's. I know not everything is BCBS thick, but it was thinner than regular Olde Hickory Imperial Stout, which I liked better than Event Horizon.

Roger says LP is next week, then Chris at Peabodys in Boone gets a shit ton too, so there's plenty.

TEH was day before turkey day last year at bestway...hoping for the same this year, since I'll be in NC for the holiday.

By next week do you mean it will be on shelves?
Tried to dig up some dirt on Olde Hickory's twitter account, but unless you are looking for the lunch/dinner special at the taproom, it's useless.

Word I heard from Leif on October 2nd was 4-6 weeks for LP.

Just found out last night... Everything in white on the event bottles is glow in the dark ink.

    Good for camping!

I checked with Olde Hickory's Steven Lyerly about the dates. As nc41 mentioned, Lindley Park should be out late this month. Event Horizon will be out around Thanksgiving and -- get this -- in December they will have their first brewery-only release for Omega Point, a beer made from blending various vintages of their Irish Walker barleywine that's been aging in bourbon barrels (some for as long as seven years).

I missed the part about moving most core beers to 6 packs. Kudo's to them. I hate bombers. I am a one beer a night guy most nights (and can't share them with my wife) so the bombers were lost on me unless it was a weekend. Smart move IMHO.

For their core beers, I agree it might make a lot of sense. I'm actually on the other side as you in general though. I usually only want one beer (or in the case of a bomber, a beer almost the size of two 12oz beers), not six of them so the rest of the six is wasted on me as I probably won't drink it the next night/week/month.

Yeah, at the beer store where I work, the only bomber by them that actually moves is Death by Hops. The rest just sit there. Moving to six-packs is crucial for them to sell more of their regular lineup.

And in addition to Brian's points above, six-packs usually offer a better cost-per-ounce for the consumer, too. Not that Olde Hickory's bombers were ever overpriced, though.

-Was going to post this... I'm going to make it's own thread to contain the info as it comes out and/or gets closer to the release date.

Not really, but it is Wed night and nothing on Facebook, I'd assume a notice on this one.
