Bourbon County in IE/OC/LA

Did anybody even have it available on black friday of last year? I thought most places didn't get it until early december.

 

bevmo in corona had no line last year while el cerrito was around the corner, liquor depot in temecula had bottles for months (even variants) on the shelf

 

Bevmos (at least in the OC) had no variants. I assume El Cerrito had a huge line cuz of their variant allocation. I really want the Vanilla, I hope we see decent disto of Vanilla to SoCal.

 

We get everything but Prop. Backyard didn't show up until a month or two later. It also seems like not every store got each of the variants though.

It is really hard to say, my BevMo got all of the four packs but never saw Backyard. My Total Wine sold a single mixed four pack per person.

 

A few places had it prior to Black Friday.

 

Went to a small shop on BF and got 2 mixed 4 packs (1 coffee, 1 bw, 1 bcbs). Went to BevMo and got 2 4x BCBS. Went to random stores over the next few weeks and got a few more mixed 4 packs. Assorted singles showed at Whole Foods but competition was way fierce. In January, Backyard showed at a speciality shop. Managed to score a few. Then eventually, like in March? came across 5 cases of Coffee at Bevmo. (I didn't buy it all).

I think in December, I was in Miami too and BCBS, BCBW, and some BCBCS were all over. Some places still showed Backyard in the Orlando area too.

 

Yea - I was at the Remy's Pappy release. Saw all kinds of empties laid out - Proprietors, Maple Bacon, etc. Made me wonder if this pseudo-elitist craft broness entitled people to litter - like it was "a thing". Anyway, yea Backyard definitely had a distro issue. I was amazed as to how I actually ended up finding it.

 

I'd rather go without BCBS than go to LA.

 

So for the first day it looks like the events are at Surly Goat and Beer Belly and the Black Friday event is potentially at Ramirez Beverage Center?

 

I hope it is, I want to grab some.

Exactly why I will. Your guy's traffic is crazy up there. Only reason I brave it is to get to magic mountain.

You realize that LA is, without exaggeration, objectively one of the world's greatest cities. That's why there is so much traffic. People like to live there, and they like to do things in their city, which generally requires some time in transit. It's a shame that you're cruising past Los Angeles to get to Magic Mountain

 

What else is there to do in San Diego?
