Ivan the Terrible trades

    The only other thread i could find on this was about whether there was a 2011 release (there wasn't).

    So i was just wondering if anyone had traded for this recently and what it roughly takes?

    3,800 bottles in 2010; 3,000 in 2009 and 1,152 in 2008 from what i can dig up. I'm more interested in the 2010, but info on others is cool too. In fact, any info would be appreciated.

    As an Ivan owner, I'd say it would take something fairly limited to pry one of them from me. Mostly because I love the beer. I'm not just going to gamble on something that might not be anywhere near as good as Ivan is (CBS *cough*)

    I traded a Bourbon County Coffee (Batch I) for 2010 Ivan in person last Fall.

    I traded a 2010 Ivan for a 2010 Darkness, and a 2010 Ivan for BCBS Bramble plus Coffee. Both trades were within the last 3 months.

    Wow! I would've thought a 2010 Ivan could get a Black Note; since the low bottle count and the fact it's two years old now. Looks like I'll have to try a little harder.

    Owen, Ivan is very tasty ,well balanced and under the radar. Im sure theres something in that stash of yours that can procure one. :wink:

    I can't remember what I traded for one but I opened my 2009 Ivan at DLD and everybody around me preferred it over a 2011 Abyss.

    I brought a 2010 to a tasting recently and it was the only bottle that didnt get emptied.. It was mediocre, I'd take a CBS all day and I'm not even a huge fan of it.

    2010 seems to have matured a little more slowly than 2009. I had a bottle of 09 Sunday and it was still amazing.

    I thought it was a 2010 Ivan you opened? Whatever the vintage, it was phenomenal. The Abyss was actually a 2010 and I preferred the Ivan.

    I traded an Abacus for an Ivan about a year ago.

    Ivan was top 3 of an 18 bottle tasting. 2010 Parabola and 2012 Hunahpu's only votes higher. Our group got it as part of a trade involving LeBleu. Hope we get another one at some point, yummm.

    Certainly a range of things, obviously as it depends on what the person is after.

    Hopefully, there's something that can land one.

    Traded a Veritas 008 for an 08 Ivan
    Also did a parabola and something else for 2 2010 Ivan's a long while ago.
    Can he take golf clubs instead?
