    Is there a core list of brewers that every (most?) beeradvocate should know?
    I can think of:
    Sam Caglione (DFH)
    Greg Koch (Stone)
    Jim Koch (BB/SA)
    Garrett Oliver (Brooklyn)

    And to a lesser extent:
    Sean Lawson (LFL)
    Shawn Hill (HF)

    I collect them like baseball cards. Trade you my Sam Caglione for any extra Greg Koch you might have.

    Greg Koch is more the brains behind Stone. Mitch Steele is the brewmaster.

    The guys he mentioned were all pioneers and innovators. Shawn Hill really hasn't changed much in the craft beer world except stir up a shit load of hype.

    The lingo is already there anyways. The more I think about it, the more ridiculous it sounds.

    Health in this TCG (Trading Card Game) would be called Sobriety.
    Breweries = Lands (Mana)
    Beers = Spells/Enchantments/Instants
    Brewmasters = Creatures

    Examples:
    Infection = Destroy target beer.
    Heart Burn = Deal damage to target drinker.
    Puke = Gain sobriety points.
    Calcium Carbonate = Counter target beer.

    Jim Koch plays with yeast counters.

    My Belgium Brews deck will take your VT Hops deck any day.

    I could go on; yet, I haven't played in many years.

    I forgot my original thought. Since,
    I just want to 'tap' a beer keg card. Famous bars could be like special lands or dual lands or artifact lands.

    Kicked (as in the keg) = Destroy target keg (beer/land).

    Only if he's still in mint condition.

    I have an entire closet full of "famous" brewers.

    Every once in awhile I entertain the idea of getting back into that game. Then I remember how expensive it could be and realize I'd have a lot less beer money.

    I'm throwing Larry Bell (Bell's Brewery) in this list. He's easily had as much influence on the craft beer scene in the midwest as anyone.
