I was out at a happy hour (until 8pm) for my best friend at work whose last day was yesterday... Fortunately even sports bars around here have decent beer (Allagash White, Storm King, Pumking)... just don't try to get anything hoppy as it is almost guaranteed to be stale as hell... learned that lesson the hard way.

Speaking of Black Tuesday allotments... did anyone in this thread that registered for it NOT with the "lottery" this year? I've talked to 10 people that entered this "lottery" and every single person "won" it... doesn't seem like much of a lottery... Maybe they just ramped up production this year... just curious...

Ninja box has landed.

 

I am definitely up for a beer while I am in the LA area.

 

A stealth local dropped a box of awesome on my unsuspecting porch. It included an awesome and potentially my new favorite piece of stemware from Hill Farmstead and a bunch of delicious mostly new to me hoppy nectar from the North East.
The bottles which won't last through the weekend include:
Stoneface Brewing Co IPA sounds delicious
Heady Topper I think I have heard of this one before...
Cambridge Brewing Company Flower Child Visited this brewery last EBF had a great meal and enjoyed this brew
Fiddlehead Mastermind only have had 2nd fiddle excited to get into this

I was declined.

 

Had that Mastermind last week and man is it a great beer.

 

I did not win, and know of a bunch of others who also lost; I was a bit surprised at this loss rate as I was told it's not intended to be so much a "lottery" as a "sane way of processing a thousand orders without crashing our servers" ... maybe demand has significantly increased this year.

 

Shipped out a Ninja box, landing today.
