DB Huna

You did that combo for one bottle of DBH?

Nope, it was hypothetical. I do know that a case of black note landed a VSB, '13 KBBS, and Saison De Rouge about 5 months ago. Along with 13 Black Note, 8 KBS, and 4 BBPT5 for a CFH and Remy's Pappy.

Not going to happen often, but there are people out there who will bite.

 

Yeah, I was wondering because I landed my DBH for 10 Black Note. Had the right set of eyes on it...

 

i know someone who traded a case of westbrooke gose for a db huna.

This thread makes me desperately want more DBH (& BA Abraxas)... Any thoughts on what quality and quantity of Jester King it'll take? I've got the bottles just don't know what it'd take for the DBH as market values of fluctuated since I originally acquired one

For 1 DB huna. I got my ass handed to me but it remains the best beer I've ever had and it's not even close. I want to stock up on these while I still can.

 

Fuck. If I had a DB Huna (Had 3. Drank 3) I'd have taken that deal and abused you as well. Hope the other side threw in something to make up for the massive $ difference.

 

It's a trade in progress so I'm awaiting his box but I don't expect anything other than the DB huna. That's the trade I asked for so Im okay with it. It was probably a bottle of atrial and Aurelian too much but I'm telling you people have either drank them already (like yourself) or aren't trading them at all. I just keep telling myself that jester king will be pumping out These exact batches of fruit beers as much as they can for years to come (Even though every one I've had is incredible) and who knows what's in store for the next barrel aged huna variant.

 

Yeah I get it. I've gone WAY overboard to get bottles I've wanted before too. Ultimately as long as you can justify it to yourself and you're getting what you want, its worth it.

Wish I would have held onto a bottle or 2 so I could ransom them off now (not really!! It was awesome and I drank it all! )

 

DBH for 07 Utopias? How far off is this?

 

WHAT? WHAAAAAAT??? I just got sick to my stomach. I feel dirty just looking at that. It's bad enough that it's 6:1, but 1 of the bottles is MvB...

Full disclosure, I just traded a DBH 1:4 for Atrial, Fen Tao, Aurelian Lure and O&P.

 

Damn brotha! I have traded for both (& BA Abraxas) utilizing multiple Jester King but that quantity that you quoted my group used to get Rare- that being said DBH and Rare have gone 1:1 so there's that horizontal laterlality for thre day...

what I'll typically in a scenario like this actually add another JK bottle to go over the top and as an extra surprise so as to build positive trade relations because often times the other party really will enjoy that and I feel like it's just a cool thing to do for people, no expectations.

Then there is the other end of the spectrum. Just takes the right set of eyes in some cases. In other cases it takes a first born. I rarely care what other people trade because there are a bunch of factors involved. (Does the person have multiples or easy access to more, does the person just like trading his beer for a reasonable deal regardless of "value", did either person trade with hopes of being future trade partners.) I can usually tell right away if the person I'm trading with will be a long time friend but when trading for these super hyped hard to get bottles it hardly ever is a long term trade partnership because there is big time boning going on from one side. (Which is fine) I just make it an extra point now when I'm able to make an actual even trade I let the other person know how much I appreciate them, and others have done the same on my end.

 

Wow...I recently did an O&P, MvB, Fen Tao and an Aurelian for a BA Abraxas and a (unfortunately it was infected and I was warned) Black Raz Bu...then, since I prefer DB Huna over BA Abraxas, am trading it 1:1 for the DB Huna. Just have to encounter the right set of eyes as with anything I suppose.

 

Also about to do Tequila MC and 4 Roses MC for DB Huna, MZ '14 and some other CCB stuff to make up $4$...Having had all three variants, DB Cake is the only one I'd really want to seek out again and DB Huna is on another level.

 

That's another trade I've noticed isn't happening like it used to.
It used to be BA abraxas for DB huna +
Then it was BA abraxas. For DB huna 1:1
Now it seems to be BA abraxas + for DB huna
But it's even been a minute since I've seen that get done.

Not having had any BA cake I can't compare them but based on what I've seen your doing very well in that one.

 

I remember the very first DB Huna I got when it first was released...did it for MvB and CdT...the value has only gone up and up since you're most likely getting it from someone who had to give up the farm to get theirs...in other words, most likely not the original owner
