Last year picked up some for under 10$ (store had a 20% off all craft beer sale) I'm assuming with the recent inflation on beer this won't be possible.

Waiting for distribution to hit CA, I love Founders Breakfast Stout and I am dying to try KBS.

When Founders did their initial expansion the taproom offerings suffered. Once they got over the hump, there was a considerable uptick in experimentation and taproom only offerings. It appears that Founders is gearing up for further expansion and growing pains, I am sure we can expect the same process to play out.

Founders obviously places a premium on the expansion of their brand and placing beer into distribution. This comes at the cost of limiting the availability of these "special" beers on tap at the source. There are a lot of way one could take this. You could be jaded, offended, irritated or you can be understanding. For me personally, I really miss the days of plentiful taproom only offerings, but I cannot fault Founders for their goals. Despite the "lacking" taplist" at times, I have never felt like they have neglected the taproom experience. I am convinced they do everything they can to serve their community and take care of their patrons as much as possible while they focus on their expansion goals.

No, I'm nowhere near NYC. I'm in Rochester.

You're right. I'm full of shit. Disregard anything I say.

    This got me SO excited:

Founders Brewing Co.We brewed and bottled/kegged far more Backwoods Bastard this year than we did last year, and our Ohio distributor will get it to retailers throughout the state. It's still a limited release beer, but there's more this year. Cheers!

It sounds about right with what I paid for it last year.

If this was $7.99 a bomber people would be raving about how affordable it was.

I buy a 4 pack every year and rip through it so quick. Then, I spend the whole year forgetting about how truly amazing it is. I'll see it on the shelf next year and think "ah fuck it, why not?" First sip reminds me every time! Decided this year to start a vertical collection.

Snagged a 4pk today. Will drink one immediately, cellar at least 2 for a bit along with 2 from last year. Clocked in at 14.99 here in the STL.

Stopped at the brewery after work, picked up a 4 pack for $14 OTD, and a backwoods bastard glass. I always think that I will just buy some next week but before i know it, its gone.
