Just around the corner, lots on, what are folks up to.

We have a few things on, seems a busy week. Which beer will reign supreme?

Got tickets for the Platinum Liquor/Yeastie Boys event, Feral dinner at Cammeray Craft and Rockwell and Sons event at Riverside.

Other than that, going to play it by ear. Anticipating plenty of bar-hopping.

It was a better week than i was expecting or have experienced previously.

The Cigar City kegs at Bitter Phew was a pleasant surprise:

Even more surprising that Marshall Zhukov lasted 5 days on tap, Jai Alai 2 or 3 and Florida Cracker & Maduro are still on. Having Mr Crackles just up the hill was great too.

Had my first visit to the Rocks owned Lord Raglan Hotel at Waterloo/Redfern/Alexandria. Nice pub, decent food and it seemed like the BridgePort event was well supported. Enjoyed Old Knucklehead (right, below) a lot & Trilogy (left, below) was solid.

The Platinum Liquor & Yeastie Boys night was lots of fun. Some really interesting Yeastie Boys beers to try, along with some brilliant hot dogs & dessert cupcake in a 5 course night. Fullers head brewer, John Keeling dropped by for a visit & a chat and was also great to listen too along with Stu & Sam from Yeastie Boys + of course Adam from Platinum Liquor.

    Went to three events

Massively enjoyed the Platinum/Yeastie Boys dinner.

The food at the Platinum dinner was inspired and far better thought out than what you'd typically expect of a "beer dinner". The beers were really tasty and unique also, interestingly my favourite was possibly the Sly Persuader but that whole series and their whole range is good.

Second event was an awesome joint venture between Riverside and Rockwell & Sons.

My first time actually going to Riverside's venue and it did not disappoint. Ticket included a pour of all their core beers and a couple of specialties, and everything was thereafter available for purchase at extremely modest pricing. On top of this Rockwell (whose restaurant in Melbourne I had the pleasure of visiting recently) provided amazing and ample food for the event.

Loved the jerky and the Parmesan/Chevre (not sure which) Melting Moments were amazing! Fried chicken was in limitless supply as were Double Patty Smash Burgers (I was disappointed in myself that I could only handle one of the latter) and they served as the perfect counterpoint to limitless pours of 777, Yeasts of Bourbon and the new entry from the Riverside stable, the MG collab IPL which for my money was really solid, although I only had one pour.

The Bitter Phew Cigar City takeover was definitely worth going to and it was fun to try Zhukov on tap. The Jai Alai was fairly stale though in all honesty, I didn't even finish my glass of it. Definitely will always make room in the diary for those sorts of things though regardless of how hungover I am.

    Anyway, was a fun week!
