I was having this discussion last night and a lot of the answers were reminiscent of when my friends and I first started drinking alcohol. We all bought those cases of Silver Bullet, but what came after? My first case was Yuengling, what about yours?

I really don't buy beer by the case. In fact, I've only bought three cases of beer, and one was by accident. The first two cases were Heady Topper.

I always used to buy a case of Sam Adams Octoberfest. Does Warsteiner count?

Don't buy cases, but if I did it would be Hop Drop & Roll.

Never bought a full case. Can't seem to justify having that many bottles sitting around at one time. I try to keep my cellar relatively small/manageable - no more than a dozen bottles at any one time.

I have never bought a full case. I like variety and since it would probably be an IPA it wouldn't be very fresh by the time I was getting to the end of it.

Probably New Amsterdam Amber Beer in the early 80s. Probably cost me almost $20!

But, then, I typically bought beer by the case for about half my beer purchases at the time - particularly the refillable/returnable deposit bottles for beers like Ballantine XXX Ale and Lord Chesterfield Ale.

The only two that I've bought by the case (and will continue to buy by the case) are BCBS and Backwoods Bastard... in fact, going to pick up my Backwoods case at Founders next Tuesday.
November, as it turns out, is a very expensive month for craft beer. Oh well, 'tis the season :grinning:

Gotta get out the way back machine, but I used to buy Dominion Ale by the case circa 1993-4 with some regularity.

I'm guessing Fat Tire? My "gateway beer" was Mich Amberbock. But I'm not sure that counts towards this thread :grinning:

Stone Espresso IRS. I was obsessed with that beer.
