What is your favorite non-imperial or oatmeal stout?

Sam Smiths oatmeal stout is good but a little pricey to drink a lot of. Wolaver oatmeal stout is usually my go to.

Java head is good but at 7.5% might be considered imperial

I second Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout, and also would like to add Founder's Porter and SN Stout.

Too many good regular stouts to pick an absolute favorite, but some I like really well are Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams Cream, Guinness Extra, Samuel Smith Oatmeal and Left Hand milk.

The Sierra Nevada Coffee Stout from their latest variety pack is excellent. More easily available are; Ipswich Oatmeal Stout, Wolaver's Oatmeal Stout, New Holland The Poet, SN Stout, and even thought it's a porter I consider Founders Porter as part of my non-imperial stout rotation.

I don't have one favorite but here's a few that I really like:

    Left Hand Milk Stout
    Tallgrass Vanilla Bean Buffalo Sweat
    Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout
    Stone Xocoveza Mocha Stout

Finch's Secret Stache Stout. Just make sure it's the canned version, and as fresh as you can get it (for maximum vanilla flavor).

I will second some good ones already mentioned like Sam Smiths, Rogue Chocolate, Left Hand Milk, Sierra Nevada, and Stone Xocoveza

I think Anderson Valley Oatmeal is the best in its style. Sam Adams Cream Stout is excellent as well.

Deschutes obsidian stout is a favorite of mine. It doesn't hurt that it's $8-9 a 6 pack either.

A few I can think of off-hand, although none that I'd say are a clear favorite:

    Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro
    Founders Oatmeal Stout
New Holland the Poet oatmeal stout

As @MeBeerGood pointed out, there are some outstanding porters, as well, that one may well consider:

    Founders Porter
    Maine Beer Company King Titus
