Is it just me or are these not incredibly similar, just bottled about a month apart?

Born Yesterday is way more aromatic and flavorful.

I'm blown away by "Born Yesterday"

Whose "Harvest Ale" are you referring to? Incredibly vague post....

Typically, whenever someone refers to "Harvest Ale," they are discussing Founder's Harvest Ale. Much in the same way as whenever someone brings up "Breakfast Stout," they are almost always discussing Founder's Breakfast Stout.

As for the actual topic...I haven't had Born Yesterday, so I can't really comment.

When I think "Harvest Ale", immediately J.W. Lee's comes to mind though

And Sierra Nevada makes a 'Harvest Ale' as well.

Founders isn't the only brewery out there.

Yes, I'm guessing that since he's in CA, he's referring to Sierra Nevada.

For me, since I have most of a case of "Harvest Ale" from Victory in my fridge my first thought was that he mean the one from Victory. They distribute to CA and Founders does not.

FYI, given the number of Harvest Ales being brewed in various parts of the country these days and the number of Breakfast Stouts being brewed throughout the US, these are no longer safe assumptions.

Southern Tier has a Harvest Ale as well.

I'd love to try Born Yesterday. Got 4 Founders Harvest (delicious) and 4 Victory Harvest (tbd). Want to find SN Estate Ale, too.

I'm sure the OP is referring to Upland's Harvest Ale... It's best to clarify by including the brewery.

Born Yesterday was a huge surprise to me. It reminded me of a more in your face Pliny, though my friends told me I was wrong and blasphemous.

A lot of breweries have harvest ales. But the name of Founders Harvest ale is "Harvest Ale". Which is why this thread is confusing. But I'm not knocking the poster of this thread. I have posted many confusing things. Especially when I'm on this thing and drinking.

Uh, no dude. There are many Harvest ales. My first thought was Southern Tier. I wish I could give your post a "dislike."

In OP's defense I assumed he meant Founders from the get-go but appreciate that they don't have the market cornered on harvest ales.

I've had both, and Founder's is superior, IMO. However, the Victory was about $3 cheaper for a 4-pack and still very good, so it pretty much evens out.
