4 elf party 2014

This party sounds like a good time. Overnight in-line bottle shares, good beers during the party and hopefully the opportunity to buy bbpt5 and some other gems. I may have to pack up a few bottles and get my ass up to Marshall this year.

Okay... well at least there's the party and bbpt5 haha

 

not to be a jag off, but everything with the exception of the donut beer was fine, at least no infection was present during the first couple months I had em. In fact from top fuel to the sasparilla, they were all quite lovely.

 

Last year the donut beer was a mess, and some of the raspberry sour bottles were butter bombs. It was really the previous year that was scary. King of the Forest, both Lambeaks, sour 3 Guys, and sour Plead the Fifth were all pretty awful.

 

Sour 3 Guys is drinking amazeballz right now IMO

 

I haven't had it in a while, that may be the one beer that got better. For some ungodly reason I have a bottle of that last King of the Forest. I don't have high hopes about that getting better.

 

Good to know as I have one....And I know @chrisbokmuller wants himself more lambeek wants blood orange

 

Damn it! I missed this last year bc my wife graduated and this year I am graduating with my doctorate on the same day! Would love to trade for some BA plead the 5th for those who are going. I will be going to Kuhnhenn's winter solstice so I can pick up whatever they have for trade if anyone is interested.

 

I would be interested in a trade.

Whats the best plan for attending the 4 elf party and eccentric day? Times and such. I've never been to either but fully plan on hitting up both parties this year. Looking for tips of the trade. Cheers!

 

I can't speak for Eccentric Day, but for 4Elf, last year my friend and I got in line around 11pm on friday night and were on the road around noon or 1pm the next day.

 

Since you've never been there, then a key tip for Eccentric Day is that you need to wear some eccentric clothing just to get in the door. You define 'eccentric,' but make it pretty good.

 

Are you aware that Eccentric Day and 4 Elf are on different weekends?

 

Bell's opens the doors at 9am. A nice spread of food will be available through the afternoon, new food being brought out all the time. Early in the day it is nice and relaxed, the later it gets the more of a party it becomes.

If you are going to do Eccentric Day, do it right and dress up like an idiot and have some fun with it. It is a blast, my favorite event of the year.

 

I must have misread an earlier comment about the two parties on the same day. They are a Saturday apart. Thanks for pointing that out for me.
