Terrapin MooHooChiato

Well, I'm in.

It occurred to me recently that I try more Terrapin beers than any other brewery. I was a little surprised, but they don't make bad beer.

 

You're right, these white labels from Terrapin seem to jump off the shelf, especially last year before people had even tried them. The Cinnamon WnB got great reviews though no better than the regular WnB which is a great beer anyways. The Pumpkin Pie porter got average reviews. I think the names of these brews sound better than they taste, along with the artwork/packaging. Terrapin did a good job on that front to make it look #rare.

That said, I'd still buy this if I saw it, I love Terrapin

I was wondering when this one was going to hit the shelves. They really are staggering the special fall releases this year. There is still the French Toast Wake 'n' Bake to be released after this.

 

The guy that does all the beer ordering at my local store said there will be 13 or so pallets. Only 1 per state. So maybe 40-50 cases per pallet? I doubt this will reach far off the east coast, and usual distro of terrapin. I have my name on the list for 3 stores. So hopefully I will get 3 if they are 1 per or 6 if 2 per. Would love it to be the latter, but I doubt it.

The moohoo/moochiato release party was on Halloween night also btw. Got to taste it on tap there....its delicious...

 

I wish they put as much work into the beer as they do in the artwork

 

I never seem to see these in the Pittsburgh market, can anyone confirm they make it here? I missed the wake and bake and the pumkin pie special releases as well . so frustrating

 

Hopefully this one is better than the White Chocolate Moo Hoo. While I think Moo Hoo is very good as a base beer, the white chocolate variant was...underwhelming. I didn't finish (extremely rare for me), and let the GF drink 3/4 of the bottle.

WnB, IMO, sits well above any other terrapin beer as the best they do.

 

I know bottles of CR WnB were at House of 1000 last year and went very fast. A few places around had kegs too. I saw the IPPP bottles at a few places this year. House, 3 rivers 6 pack and the beer market are the places I remember seeing it. I would guess that limited quantities will make it to Pittsburgh of the latest release.

Is the coffee they use a good quality coffee? Every coffee beer they make I absolutely hate.
