Everyone's going to define it differently, but to me, a regular is someone who stops in on a consistent basis -- whether that's weekly, biweekly, monthly -- and buys shelf beers. Anyone can show up multiple times a week for the latest and greatest, but a customer who helps turn the everyday stuff is more valuable in the long run.

In today's market, you could buy nothing but limited release beers and still have more than you can reasonably drink.

For those still on the hunt, I was at Printers Row wine Shop on Sat and dude said they'd get their shipment on Mon. Dk if true or not, but I'll be back in New Mexico and just passing along the info.

I'm a stock boy at Leo's Wines and Spirits in Woodridge. We're supposed to be getting our shipment in this Tuesday, which will probably be a case, hopefully two!
P.S. This is also my first post! SoI'm pretty excited to officially join the beeradvocate community instead of just lurking

Is that illegal or do you say that because of the stigma it would cause?

The first rule of being a stock boy is you never ever post when you're getting stuff. Or you're going to be hounded by everyone.

That being said, welcome. and please save me some BCS variants.

Any sightings around Joliet? Cardinal sold out by the time I got off of work.

Hey Joe! Other than Cardinal and Binnys Plainfield I haven't seen/heard of any other places in the Joliet area. I'll keep an eye out and if I see anything I'll let you know.

LOL FOUR PAGES of people CRYING their eyes out....over DARKNESS???? Is it April 1?

    Pitiful.

I'd gladly take one 12oz bottle of regular BCBS over a whole case of '14 Darkness.
Speaking of which, the worlds best stout is out in like 3 weeks. ...lose sleep and tears over that...not over some average stout that is distributed and allows you to buy 6 bottles at the source. (you can't buy ANY BCBS at the source, and there is no BCBS day)

I don't think I would buy a bottle of Darkness if it were $5.

lol this is the first year its even barrel aged...and I've yet to hear one person say the barrel did anything positive to the beer (well, besides raised its trade level...that we all know is priceless)

just looking to try something I haven't tried. Honestly, no matter what it is, 99% of what I try doesn't stand up to good ole BCBS

lol and Darkness is not going to change that.

WAIT....what am I saying? Shit.....actually Darkness is great...BCBS, meh. Well, really they're about equal. BCBS will be too hard to get, don't even bother looking for it this year. Trade for some more 2014 Darkness, it will satisfy yer BA stout craving for the winter, for sure. BCBS is really just average, now that we have sooo many amazing stouts like Darkness to compare it to.

Kimbark Liquors in Hyde Park just got a shipment. Looks like one case. I got one and another guy was in there as well. So 10 left as of 10 minutes ago. $29.99 so its not a great price...but if you are nearby and really want one...go! They keep it behind the counter...just ask, they are very nice about it!
