Greetings Great Lakes BA's!!! So I have a dilemma regarding the titular beer. Last Wednesday night I attended the Bruery's Black Tuesday party with a couple buddies (I'm not a hoarder, but a couple of my friends are). It was a great time and the Sundae Black Tuesday and Mocha Wednesday were probably the standouts of the line up, and the unlimited Hottenroth wasn't a bad thing either. After the party we headed back to one of the guys in my groups house. I'd heard that he had a stacked cellar and was excited to check it out. We got to his place and made our way to the living room, which was right next to a large closet that I could see had various brewery boxes stacked almost to the roof and wrapping around the perimeter of the closet. I asked if I could take a peek in the closet and the host told me to go for it. There were a few articles of clothing hanging in the closet, so I reached out and moved them aside a couple of inches. But just as I did that I heard a crash in the closet. I quickly grabbed the box that had fallen, and my worst fears were realized: I had broken a bottle in our gracious host's cellar... a 2012 Darklord. He was really cool about it, and believe me I was endlessly apologetic, but I can't let this end like that. Ive tried a couple of bottle shops around SoCal that I know get rare beers from all over the country, but it looks like this endeavor is not panning out. Now I appeal to you fellow BA's, in hopes that someone might have a spare bottle of said beer to trade. Any interested parties feel free to BM me. My gots list is up to date, but by no means everything I have...I can also find some things pretty easily (ie. Pliny and other west coast hop bombs, various things from cascade, fresh stone). Cheers
I'm a big fan of Dark Lord, and even I can admit that '12 is the worst vintage. '13 and '14 are light years ahead of '12. Get him one of those.
Huh, I didn't know that. Personally I'm not that crazy about the 3 floyds beers I've had. I liked zombie dust,arctic panzer wolf,and gumballhead. Other then that I really haven't enjoyed what I've had from them, personally, I just wanna replace this particular bottle. I'd do the same if it was an '09 Abyss too.
