Well as long as the eyes glow when it's cold than it must be good. Seriously though, had Desperados a long time ago overseas and it was just as gross as one may imagine

If it's like Tequiza, I'll use it to water my plants.

If I wanted tequila flavored anything, I'd probably drink tequila.

This has a chance to work. Aimed at a younger demo, light flavor of agave and blended BA beer. That Alltech Kentucky Bourbon crap flys off the shelves around me. I'd assume this will hit that same market of people.

    Blech...Tequiza was frightningly bad.
In Europe (Germany included) this stuff is everywhere, and it's more or less the same idea:

This brings me back too. I'd say I remember it fondly, but it was probably the most horrible shit I've ever tasted. Even as a dumb high school and college kid just looking to get drunk, I still passed on this... That should say something about that liquid evil when Coors Light and Corona is the far superior choice.

I came in here to comment on Desperados, but it's already been handled... cringe every time I see it being consumed in Germany...

I'm guilty of drinking several 6-packs of this....beer!? That was back in the day.

    Probably.

Although, given the craft influence, it seems that the marketing angle will be different this time. I remember the radio commercials for Tequiza strongly associated Tequila's alcoholic strength while the bottle of "Oculto" says it has been "aged on tequila barrel staves."

Sonorous male voice: "Te-QUI-za - the beer with the KICK [whoo-PEESH] of Tequila!"

I wonder how they will push Oculto? Pictures of Mexican artisans hand-crafting tequila barrels?

Although its a strong ale, Agave Mary was good from lost abbey. This however will for sure taste like Mexican Urine

Rum is my drink of choice, followed by tequilla and then scotch/bourbon. I love beer aged in rum and bourbon barrels so this could work if the beer is good and the blending takes.

Not sure if nearly everyone commenting hates tequilla, has had a bad tequilla beer or just hates InBev? Maybe all 3?

Probably taste like crap but will need to try it before passing judgment...

Clear bottle doesn't help things but it's not a deal breaker and I'd say the bottle art is goofy but have seen much worse on craft beer bottles...for me, in the end it's all about the taste and everything else is purely speculation.

Copper Kettle has one called something like Sobremesa or something. Its not bad but WAY overpriced for like $12 a bomber. If it was in 6 pack cans for like $10 it would be a good summer beer. Not going to pay $12 for a bomber thats less than 5% ABV.

Tequila flavored anything is out for me. I wouldn't drink it no matter who made it.
