I wouldn't call oatmeal a flavor, so much as it is more a mouthfeel/texture thing, but it's up there so I went with that as well as those briny wonders of the sea.

With @TongoRad. I love the feel of the oatmeal stouts. But give me some chocolate or coffee and I'm a REAL happy camper.

Now I'm curious, haven't had an oyster stout. Which should I try?

I used to hate coffee stouts. Gimme coffee or gimme stout. But like Paul on the Road to Damascus, I have seen the error of my ways and have been blinded by the light. The brewers that can balance the two have my eternal gratitude. Kudos, and yum.

Drinking some Stone Belgo Anise right now. Soo good. I guess my other favorites would be coffee, oatmeal, and chocolate in any combination. Yep, I have lots of Breakfast Stout around!

Coffee, Chocolate and Vanilla for me. Oatmeal, Milk and Cream shouldn't be on that list. Those are types of stouts, not flavors. Isn't a Cream Stout the same thing as a Milk/Sweet Stout? Oatmeal Stout is a stout that's made with oatmeal. Milk/Sweet Stout is made with Lactose (milk sugar).

The ones I'm think of (Flying Fish Exit 1 and Yards Love Stout) are probably not available outside of this area, unfortunately.

You can also do oyster shooters, too. Just put the oyster in a double shot glass and top off with your favorite dry stout. The flavors go extremely well together, believe it or not.

Most of the poll choices aren't flavors. Oyster and milk are pretty funny.

The oysters in oyster stouts give the beer body and don't make it taste like a plate of oysters. Also, I love milk stouts but probably wouldn't if they tasted like...milk! I do enjoy the creaminess and sweetness the lactose adds, though.

I voted for coffee, vanilla and mocha. I would have liked to vote for everything except chicory and oyster though.....

I've had Flying Dog Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout which was excellent.
    I gave it a 9 out of 10 rating.
This one got a very good rating and is in Minnesota.
