This is the IPA that turned me onto to the style and I'm looking forward to this year's beer.

Picked up a 6-pack, bottled on 10/08, very hoppy. As the beer warms the hops mellow considerably and the malts really start to shine; it's a complex beer in ways but the hops are a little one-dimensional (but in all fairness to this beer there are some crazy hops out there nowadays and for this beer to stand the test of time really says a lot). As I said earlier in this thread it's a good beer and a solid purchase for sure but I have never gotten the hype and it's not something I really go crazy for.

Not so sure that I agree. I think this years batch is still pretty hoppy but the balance of the hops and malt are fantastic. I think if you drink some stouts and dark beers and reset your palate you will taste the goodness again..

Funny stuff Bill...everyone always has a problem with something.

It wasn't that long ago there was a thread about better labeling bottles for the consumers sake...you really can't make everybody happy all of the time...and some...never.

I thought it is good this year. Very balanced. But it isn't a beer that I would go to a lot. I would say that it is a beer I would suggest family and friends try around the holidays who are not necessarily into really hop forward beers. It is an IPA but it is balanced by the malts to not make it so aggressive. I tend to like more aggressive IPA's so, in a way its good but boring at the same time.

I wish my memory of taste is that good. My first thought if a beer doesn't taste exactly like my memory it is probably my memory. I know my memory of past things has been dead wrong many times.

Picked some up in buffalo today. Just getting into it now. It actually does taste a little subdued compared to some past editions. I will definitely try more of it though.

It is def different this year (In a good way IMO ) This is the 1st year I actually like it. There seems to be less , if any bite from the hops. Malt is coming thru more which I think is a beautiful thing.

Soak a bottle in a bucket with hot water and some oxy-clean for 24 hours. You'll have a fridge-worthy beer sticker.

Had it at the brewery last month and am working on a six pack this week. I kind of like the idea of there being variations in the beer from year to year depending on the hop harvest.

Gave in and grabbed some of the 9/30 batch after work. 14.49/12pk just can't be beat for this holiday fresh-hop classic. I admit on first taste it's juicier w/ less hop bite than recent years ... none of which will deter me from getting a new 12 every time I see the next date on a box, a minimum of 3 12's this winter.

Still waiting for Celebration in Nashville. I guess we are on SN's naughty list.

I bought a sixer home last weekend which was dated 10/10/2014--so less than 30 days old. While I haven't gone through this entire thread yet, I can say after my first sip I noticed this years was (IMO) significantly different than last years. It seems much more malt forward and less hoppy than past years batches for sure. I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing, but it def tastes different.

Wow! That is about $3 more than we pay here in NC. And that is the "Club Price?" What if you are unlucky enough to not be in the club?

One of the few beers I truly miss from the US. Perfect combo of quality/price/availability.
Bring some to me in Italy! And preferably less than 6 months old while costing less than €4.50 a bottle!
