I think this beer should be able to steal the name Wineification from The Bruery... Thanks @raulazzer !

    Sorry @CTJman pure accident.

To kick the night off my VBS:

The regular might be better than the BBA version. Maybe as it warms it'll reverse?

I think I agree with you. I think the BA is a little boozy now but maybe over time it bourbon booze mellows and blends better with the base. Neither are drinking bad though IMO

So I came home to two boxes tonight. The first I opened from @PassMeAZima:

    La Petit Mort
    Cherry Funk - want!
    Zombie Dust x2 -permawant!
Tall Tale - I had never heard of this before but perhaps the tastiest description: a malt beverage brewed with coffee & cacao nibs aged in wooden barrels & finished with Brettanomyces.

As if that wasn't enough @Mikexw made mention that his return box for my local Pizza Boy beers wouldn't be the same quality/caliber as others. He lied:

Fort Point Pale Ale - want!
    DeCicco IBB - sounds awesome!
Abner - anyone NOT permawant this?
Joe Mama's Milk - awesome name
Vermonster - oddly enough I went to Rock Art when in VT but they only allow a certain amount of samples and I didn't get to try this.

I can't thank you two enough. Although to be honest the real winner will be @raulazzer. I wasn't entirely happy with the box I sent so another will be headed out. Nothing rar but more quality brews.

    Cheers all!!

Your thoughts are mine as well. The first sip of the BA made me pucker up quickly due to the booze.

    Cheers folks!

PS - to my round 3 target, aka @treznor, your second box will hit home in the next couple of weeks. Fremont stuff will definitely be in there plus a couple of other goodies

So... still sipping on the Double DBA... I'd feel bad for not contributing more to the VBS, but when a 12% bomber is your third beer of the night....

It's okay, this is my first and only beer of the night. Starting 12.1% on an empty stomach at 115 lbs at 10:30 P.M. hits me like a truck.

OK, so I had to run out to Home Depot to pick up some stuff, and as I pulled in the parking lot realized I had a bunch of empty bottles in my car, and didn't have enough room. So I ran up to my local bottle shop, not intending to purchase anything since I have too much beer in the house, but ended up grabbing four bottles:

The two in the middle are Keegan Ales Bourbon Barrel Aged Mother's Milk, which was just bottled last weekend and apparently hit the store about half an hour before I got there. Milk Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels in collaboration with Widow Jane Distillery. The two on the end are Maine Lunch, and even though I have IPA overload I couldn't resist -- they were bottled November 4th.

So then I get home and find the haul from my trade with @EA728 -- I had expressed interest in some stuff from his part of the country (since I haven't gotten BIF'd from there yet) -- we had some general guidelines, but were for the most part pretty vague -- I ended up with these:

I know why they say everything's bigger in Texas --

    and the Northeastern-state sized ones:
Left to right, top to bottom, those are
Jester King Wytchmaker Farmhouse Rye IPA - not a want, but probably should have been
    Jester King RU55 - want
Jester King Boxer's Revenge - want
    Jester King Noble King
Lone Pint Yellow Rose - want, and one I am particularly psyched about
    Prairie Cherry Funk
    Prairie Wine Barrel Noir
    Prairie Noir - want
    Independence Ten Anniversary Ale
    Saint Arnold Endeavour - want

At least one or two of these are also wants of my target in the 12 Days of xmas BIF, I now have the ethical dilemma of deciding whether to drink them or BIF them.

Thank you @EA728!! And by the way, the Jester King bottle caps are extremely cool.

Found a new spot to potentially get beer at -- the selection isn't wild or anything, but they have fairly reasonable prices, especially for the area. Stuff that I'd expect to pay about $15 for was $11ish, stuff I have paid $12/4 pack of before (looking at you, storm king) was $9.50, pumking was a much more reasonable $10 (down from $15 I've seen other places)

Picked up a 4 pack of narwhal just because it was reasonably priced and I enjoy it a lot. Asked about backwoods (it's a grocery store that's been around for a while but they just started selling beer in september. The guy wasn't super helpful, but told me to keep checking, they haven't gotten it in at all yet but they do carry founders (he wasn't a manager though so he didn't know if they are even getting an allotment)

Either way I'm just happy I found a place to get reasonably priced 4/6 packs haha
