Yes, I thought it was OK. Not the best beer I've ever tasted, but I didn't think it was bad. I give the brewer credit for innovation and creativity.

Saying this is the worst craft beer you've ever tasted seems a little strong. Also, given the name of the beer, I'd be curious to know what you were expecting when you got it.

Well you don't know what beers I've drank so you can't really have an input on my opinion. Anyway I did expect the maple and bacon taste of course I just thought the beer was a mess overall.

LOL!!! Of course that's true. For all I know, you've only ever had younger, elder and hopslam.

It's an usual beer, I'll give you that. I can see where you (and others), might not like it and might call it a mess. However, I actually thought the brewer did a pretty good job doing what he set out to do... making beer that has a lot of the same characteristics of the maple bacon nut donut from Voodoo.

This beer was delicious!!! It was like breakfast in a beer! It was completely innovative and outside the box with an excellent delivery! Also, I loved the floaters of doughnut and bacon!!

Worst craft beer???? How about worst review!

Count me as one who really enjoyed it. Was it the best beer I've ever had? Not at all, but it certainly isn't deserving of a lot of the scorn I've read in other reviews. What I found curious was the fact that it's aroma (the sweet maple smell with a hint of bacon) was not found in it's taste. It reminded me more of a lightly smoked porter in taste. Actually refreshing. A good experimental beer.

what review? It's funny how some people can't respect others opinions. Considering everyone has a different palate. Smh.

Pretty standard for a rogue beer: terrible.

didn't expect much per what I have seen on BA and my slight disregard for rogue. but wasn't terrible. I quite enjoyed it and would consider picking up another for beer breakfast if it wasn't 14 dollars

So you are asking for opinions and then telling people that their opinions aren't valid.

    Good job. Great effort.

I was a bit underwhelmed with the taste of the beer. It had a nice smokey smell, but it was a little blander than I had expected. With a bottle and a concept like that I had hoped I'd get some doughnut notes, a bigger punch of smoke, and some real maple sweetness. It was just sort-of muted.

Here is how to improved it. I had a maple red ale (from Stonehammer in Ontario) and a Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen handy, so I put in equal parts of the maple bacon, the maple red, and the Marzen and - ta da - much puncher, more pronounced maple and a really ramped up smoke note.

Still a fun beer to try and I'm still glad that they are tempted to experiment with some pretty silly combinations!

These varieties of beer are always risky. Its like the pimply nerd asking the Cheerleading Captain to prom. Rarely works out as planned, but almost always kudos to those willing to take such a chance. And no, I dont plan on trying this one.

I wasn't expecting a ton from this beer, but it was much more balanced than I thought it would be. Three of us couldn't finish the bottle, but it wasn't terrible by any means. I liked the combination of sweet/smoky.

It smelled amazing, like smokey bacon and sweet maple.

It tasted a bit meh, and yes, quite a mess.

I was sent it as an extra in a trade. When it hit shelves here, I bought one myself. I loved smelling it again, but I've now had my fill.

My take exactly. The taste was tolerable, but one bottle was enough. I loved how it smelled though...

lol at Rogue being terrible. Sure, they are now after you have become experienced with the wide variety of craft beer. But Rogue served its purpose as that gateway beer. I'll always remember Brutal Bitter as one of the beers that started to change my views on beer and got me into craft beer.
