    This morning I made my way from NC to Philly. I have waited years to catch a sunrise on an airplane, and today I finally did:

    Woke up at 3:30am, so although I'm in a new city with lots to explore and only two days to do so (even though I'm here for a Kidney convention), decided to find a bottle shop (The Foodery, pretty cool spot) and take some beer back to my hotel room. Just enjoyed this:

    I'm calling an end to Autumn, for me. A few flurries today, the trees are 90% bare, and temps in the 20's tonight .... so I'm burning off the last couple autumn offerings that I kept one of, till now:

    Anchor BigLeafMaple, really smooth amber with a bright light mouthfeel, dry finish and a touch of maple stickiness. Supremely enjoyed this new offering this year, and begging that they make it next year too. Cheers to the end of autumn everyone ...... more to come ......
