What was up with with music? It got awesome towards the end, but the first half they were playing in sync and crap like that. I'm not from Chicago, so maybe that's the stuff Chicago beer drinkers enjoy, but we thought it was extremely bad.

What's the layout? GI has its own booth and then everything by numbered style? Are the bottles in their own section again or are they mixed in with the appropriate styles?

 

By the time they started playing pop music people were drunk and dancing and having a good time. But maybe that's against beer advocate protocols. Maybe they should have had their smartphones out finding outlets to bitch about what whalez they weren't able to tick.

I did'nt see Utopia's on the picture of the program, please say it isn't so !!! One of my favorites.

 

Is there a coat check? How long did people wait in the GA (6pm) line to get in?

 

you are right, i dont see it. And i didnt see it poured either, i think its safe to say its not there....

 

yes a coat check, but the line to get coat at the end was longer than any line i saw all night.

 

So the bottles are mixed in with the appropriate style sections?

 

yes, like at the GI booth, MR was in bottles, BC was being poured right next to it in the same booth.

 

Pipeworks Murderous was really nice as was Bruery's Chocolate Rain.

 

So this seems to be the useful information that we've learned:

1. A lot of things kicked before GA.

2. Nothing kicked before GA.

3. The lines for GI were 45 minutes long.

4. The lines for GI were 10 minutes long tops.

5. They didn't take tickets.

6. They took tickets.

7. It was oversold.

8. It wasn't crowded at all.

Got it.

 

I had a great time this year, That one side project beer was way too sour, but the other one was awesome.

 

I wasn't even paying attention for the majority of the time but them playing the final countdown as the initial swarm of Imbibe members came in braveheart-style was awesome

 

Didn't see anyone confirm this....do they allow backpacks? I was planning on bringing one to hold my coat

 

Yes, I brought in a messenger bag without any problems.

 

Had a good time. I would hope everyone was with friends and enjoyed themselves. That's the point.

Jones Dog was a standout. Track 8 was excellent. I think the best sour I got to try was Penrose V.

Also. BCBS nitro is so cool
