Lusus Naturae from Wicked Weed, a Brett Double IPA. It's slightly old (about 2-3 months), so its lost a lot of its IPA flavor, but still quite tasty. Served in #semiproperglassware (what's the rule on that? It's in glassware from the right brewery, but not the right beer from that brewery). #VBS on!

 

I'm the only obvious one, although @mkhartnett and @mklisz at least use their initial and I think most of us knew they were Mikes. You and @Kramerbarthomer are the two stealth Mikes.

At least we all have different last initials. Comes in handy for untappd thank yous.

 

Got this from @surlytwinsfan after I asked him and @mkhartnett a question about Darkness trade value. @surlytwinsfan sent me a bottle (with extras) just because. Rest assured, retaliation is in the works, but I wanted to note the generosity of this group. Seriously, this is an amazing group of people. Cheers!

Wow. I think we should all be banned from the ISO:FT forums. No need for them here.

 

Not really sure since I didn't have to trade for this bottle. It has been difficult to get a read on the value of Darkness since the trade forums are all over the place and you never know what trades actually are completed.

 

This is actually pretty accurate. Given the generosity and geographic diversity of this group, you really don't need the forums most of the time.

I have mixed feelings. I like that my favorite brewery is a small locale that serves the community,

Green Flash, there is not 1 beer I look forward to having, but I'm sure they'll follow Alpine's recipe.

At the end of the day, what happens to us if all breweries distroed to all states?

 

@rspauldi is an amazing trader. He dominated my porch with TX wants like no other. Oh and he hit other out of state wants of mine as well! And it was good to revisit the trading partner that got the 'Sixterhood' off the ground and on its feet.


Armadillo Quakertown Stout (Oats and Maple --- YUM!)
JK - La Vie en Rose (Im newly OBSESSED with JK)
JK - Provenace w/ Tangerines and Clementines (drooooool)
Epic - Big Bad Baptist (want! and one of the reasons I joined the stout BIF, but I didn't get a bottle then ...)
Lone Pint - Yellow Rose (this might be the beer of the year for me. This didnt make it an hour after unpacking the box)
SA - Divine Reserve 14 (have had this before and I liked it, but my wife LOVED it. So, score!)
Southern Star - Buried Hatchet Stout (a very very solid stout in a can!)

I was able to bring some of these along to enjoy with my friends in my latest passion, duck hunting. Please let me know if this photo offends anyone and I will take it down, but it does capture 2 loves in one.

 

We have a ton more time on our hands, much better beer to drink on the average day, and a bunch fewer friends (there, I said it, no "internet" qualifier needed)

I for one would not prefer it.

 

Doesn't offend me if you're going to eat what you kill, I'm not a big fan of killing purely for sport however. (Not that you need to take it down regardless)

edit: and if you do eat what you kill, let me know what you're making and I'll be there to join you! I'll bring the beer

 

I am a huge proponent of eating what you kill. Only way I can justify the sport. I also have another passion - cooking. And these birds will be used! Ive got the meat vacuum sealed. I am going to do a batch of 'korean duck tacos' at some point during football season. And tomorrow I am going to bust out some duck and mushroom risotto.
