No worries man. I'll find you. Your lack of a cell phone will make it interesting but people did it in the 80s somehow...

Beers were good, kind of a shitshow with people hanging out down the isles, but pretty good overall.

The beers from Off Color were pretty fantastic. I had the Dino S'mores, Yuzu, and Papaillion. Two of those won hardware.

FOBAB was a nice event as it is every single year. Only one complaint- the lay out was absolutely horrible. You need to put all the beer on the outside perimeter so that the festival isn't so congested; either that or get a bigger space for the festival. What a cluster.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the real highlight of #FoBAB. The unfiltered, instant twitter feed. It was raunchy and hilarious.

fobab 2014 was good. a lot of great beer only complaint was about avaiibitity of certain beers. my brother went to perennial at 6:15 and they said they had been out of BA Abraxas for the whole session and sucaba 2013 was out the whole session as well. I thought they were supposed to have 1/3 available for us. other than that every thing was awesome and had a great time.

goose island sours rock.. i wish I could spend more on their bottles of sours but I had Juliet, Gillian, Halia, and Madame Rose and they were all top notch. Too bad they are so much to buy at stores but they are all top notch.

I couldn't find it either which was a bummer.
The fact I got four pours of Barrel Aged Yeti (an all-time-favorite of mine) more than made up for it though.

1st time at Fobab and first time on BA. The show was freakin awesome! Went at the 1 pm show Saturday and went straight for Abraxas. I was fortunate enough to get one of the last glasses of the rich and toasty liquid gold . Off Color stole the show with their offerings hands down. It seems everyone was so concerned with hitting up the big dogs (Goose, Bell's, Perennial, exc) that they overlooked some killers in BA Jones dog, Fremont's BA Dark Star and Bourbon Abominable, and both Dino'smores and Yuzu from previously mentioned Off Color. The show's layout could use some work in the future but other than that I had a great time. Had little issue getting the brews I wanted and was able to try some rarities that would otherwise be a pain in the ass getting here in IL. Cheers!

The beers were great as always, and even with more people the crowds almost never got too constricting to be uncomfortable. All in all a smoothly run FOBAB.

This, however, pales in comparison to what was given up by moving to the venue to UIC. The atmosphere at Bridgeport Art Center was so much more fitting for a world class beer event. Its a beautiful building and made for a much classier FOBAB. It seems likely that we are now stuck with this convention style setting for future FOBABs and I personally feel like it has lost something that made it great. There is little magic to be found in a giant convention hall.
