Belgian-styled Strong Dark Ales in general. They're already a tasty group of beers, but the contrast of cold weather makes them tough to resist.

High gravity beers, large stouts, barleywines, wee heavies...

Definitely towards dark and roast, even lighter porters and stouts fit the bill...

Real nuzzle up to the fireplace stuff.

I always enjoyed storm king when it is cold. Or a nice Long Trail double bag

Just about anything I can pour in my glass. A good coffee stout or a dipa. But those are my go to beers anyway.

    +1 for EVERY beer....

But seriously, when I think cold weather, I think dark stouts and porters.

I had a Founders Breakfast Stout earlier this evening, for me that would fit the bill perfectly

Anything bourbon barrel (or other type) aged. I love the heat the whiskey gives off.

Definitely like stouts, but lately have been wanting Belgian quads. Need to go pick up a few.

Doppelbock, barleywine, imperial stout/porter. I like quads/Belgian strong dark ales a lot too but that's more of a year-round thing; they tend to be smoother and hide their alcohol a lot better, hence they are perfect for any season or temperature. I can have barleywines, doppelbocks and imperial stouts when it's warm out but they normally aren't the first thing on my mind. I almost always merely "tolerate" some degree of alcohol warmth in a strong beer but if it's like 15F or lower I might want a less subtle alcohol flavor in my beer. Assuming whiskey is not an option.

Standbys include (aged) North Coast Old Stock Ale, Bourbon County Stout, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, (very aged) J.W. Lees Harvest Ale, Sierra Nevada Narwhal, (aged) Gouden Carolus Blue, and (very aged) Samichlaus Helles. Eventually I expect Bourbon County Barleywine will replace Bourbon County Stout, or at least greatly outnumber it in both my fridge and cellar.
