I asked them today and they are brewing it this week. Expect in 3 weeks or so.

My favorite seasonal offering in Texas!

Could you imagine a maple version?

Can you imagine it in cans? I can. It would be a beautiful future with me being drunk by noon everyday.

I see what you did there...

And yes. I was considering having a petition signed and presenting it to them about that haha.

Even 4 pack small batch releases like Heavy Machinery every once in a while would be satisfactory.

I do not know if I would be satisfied with just that. Year round release in tallboys would be sufficient.

I begged them to do this last year. Do multiple variants, released on a regular schedule, in cans, like the HM series. Maple Sputnik; BA Sputnik; Cacao Nib Sputnik; etc. I was flatly told "No" They don't want to do it. :slight_frown:

I'll be filling 3 64oz growlers and a 32 the day this comes out. And then again as needed.

You could make a successful brewery solely off of this idea

@Austinbeerworks, who sources your coffee? Please consider using Wild Gift coffee out of Round Rock for one of your stouts or next Sputnik. The guys running it used to be the head roasters for Once Over and Cuvee. It's all small batch from one roasted and destroys every other bean in town and the two week old Intelligentsia beans I've ordered online. I'm drinking some Wild Gift pour over right now and in java heaven.

It's not that we're against doing something like that - we just don't have the capacity.

Since our first batch of Sputnik (this year's will be #4), we've partnered with Cuvee.

I'm friends with Rob and Clancy at Wild Gift and would love to work with them on another beer.

I guess expanding to/building a Sputnik brewhouse is not an option?

We're working towards something like that. It's just a long, expensive process. Canning all of our seasonals is high on our priority list.

I think you guys need a delivery Lamborghini. Get that Sputnik out extra quick so all those neckbeards in their Tired Hands hoodies can start their ticks
