anchorage is high on my list of favorite beweries

 

Adwtd was $30 in Anchorage last year. It was on the shelf about a week after bottling because it was forced carbed due to high abv. Last batch was 11 months in cognac barrels. This batch was 7 months.

Darkest hour batch 2 is amazing - aged in whisky barrels. Batch 1 was red wine barrels.

At least arctic devil lasts most of the year so I can postpone buying that.

No bcbs according to GI this year in ak so there's a good start for a trade...

 

I thought batch 1 was a combination of rye whiskey barrels and pinot noir barrels.

I'm excited to hear about both ADWTD and Darkest Hour coming out again. Anchorage can pretty much do no wrong in my book. Now the trick will be getting my hands on some...

Hmmmm, it says they distribute to DC.......I just need to find out where now and if we are getting any. If we don't, then.....ISO!

 

I think @Shroud0fdoom needs to get some more Anchorage bottles.

 

Very sporadically. . Often never around.

 

Ah, that's a shame. Oh well, plenty of other great beers to be had, hopefully I can trade for one eventually. Thanks for the insight!

I'd love to get a bottle of ADwtD and can trade midwest goodies (4Elf, Kuhnhenns Winter Solstice, Schramms, BCBS, etc.) for it. Hit me up!

 

It was a blend, and refermented with champagne yeast as well. Incredible beer. Hope to score some at Leukens.

Yeah, this sounds like something right up @jzeilinger and @Knapp85 's alley!

 

I do not, but they had Darkest Hour and Andromous online for quite a few weeks last year. Still have Whiteout, Love Buzz, and one other. If there's enough volume of it this time around they should have it online to buy, but I don't know that for a fact. I'm still reaching out to everyone I know in Florida to be on the lookout just in case.

 

Yeah I live 5 minutes from Luekens but haven't heard anything yet. I know they had maybe a case of ADWTD last year but I missed it. With the massive increase in quantity this year, they should be getting more and possibly enough to put online.

 

It's been on my "wants" since I heard about it... Sadly this is getting to a point in the year where it's not safe to ship the beer due to cold weather in the northern states and Canada. Keep that in mind folks!

 

SO right! That beer sounds amazing !!!!

 

Since living in Illinois, I have yet to see any Anchorage beers. Even though Illinois gets Anchorage. As far I'm concerned, they don't exist out here.

 

Anyone know if this will be hitting the Twin Cities area? I love BA beers and this definitely sounds like yet another one I would enjoy.
