This thread should be allowed to die peacefully. As usual when this topic comes up, there's no way to reach anything approaching a consensus. Best to just let ignorant people stay that way.

IS there a definition of craft beer which actually means anything? No brewers brew by accident, they all dedicate a lot of skill and experience to creating the end product. It can't either be related to annual barrelage as once a relatively small threshold is reached the process becomes largely automated.
What test can I apply to decide whether it's craft or not when somebody puts a glass of beer in front of me? For if I can't do this the term means nothing in particular.

I still haven't found one I thought was good either, if I'm out and want lower abv I drink a Miller lite with no ill effects, either that or my sessions last two beers at maybe 7% abv or so, higher stuff over 9% only one, then a lighter beer, caps still a combo of two though.

Locking this down as we've had far too many reports on it in the last day or two.

It's all opinion based and at this point, we've gone beyond talking past each other and circular reasoning into personal attacks and pointless trolling of others.
