I finally found some founder's harvest ale on the shelf. The youngest date I can find is 9/30/14. Too old or go for it?

If you or anyone else's nose is sensitive enough to detect a difference, you may want to go get checked and make sure you're not a canine.

I have some that's seven weeks old and it still drinks like a champ. So far, nothing discernible from drinking one a few weeks ago.

Now maybe if we were talking seven months...

I just bought some with the same date on it, I've had it fresh and the difference between a couple weeks and 6 weeks isn't all that noticeable in my opinion

I still have a 4pk & half that's been sitting in my fridge since the day I bought it. Cracked one the other day and it still crushes most brews that are fresh. Buy as much as you can, it's well worth it.

I have a 4 pack from the same bottled date, it's fine.

Sir, please stop this kind of talk.
We are supposed to all group-think that any hoppy beer over a month is a turd.

I figured it would be fine. It's unrealistic to expect to get every hop directly from the field to my stomach. It would be nice though.

If you aren't squeezing the hop oils directly into your mouth, then it's not fresh enough.

You're probably better off buying a flop house next to the brewery and waiting for next year.

What? No immediate call for a "drainpour"? Y'all are gettin' soft 'round here.

P.S. I couldn't even find any this year, so I say break out the funnel and get to it!

People are a little too obsessed with this. If it's older than 2 weeks....it's a drainpour.

At least we haven't reached the point where "I just had a growler filled at "X" brewery but it's a ten minute ride home. Will my "X" IPA still be fresh when I get there?" has become a thread. There's. Still. Hope.

I always laugh at these. More at myself. I once tried the beer (not even hop extract) that came from one of my dry hopping bags. I could not taste anything for hours. This was just beer that I would assume was close to the bitterness of the batch in general. The squeeze I gave it did wonders for the IBU of that sip of beer.

I think most of what you'll find is 9/30. I had a 4 pk over a 2 week period and loved each one. If I wanted more, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Hell, people don't have any issue drinking Celebration....for years.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's right in peak flavor.
