We all love our local and regionally made Double and single IPA's. We are spoiled by the monsters of Vermont, NEBCo and Beer'd in Ct, Tree House and Trillium in Ma, and Bissel and MBC. But, all of these beers require some work to obtain. Unless you are lucky enough to reside near one of these establishments, a road trip is in order. As a citizen of RI, all of these great brews require a minimum of 3 hours for me to obtain. Therefore, I really want to give props to Victory for producing Dirtwolf. An excellent DIPA I can find fresh without a lot if trouble. Are there any other readily available fresh Double or Single IPA's that can hold there own with our regional IPA giants?

By the eighth post, this will have dissolved into someone writing Trillium Cingress St.

    +5 if they mention Curiosity.

Mass Rising. (Yes, it's a DIPL, but I'd include it here)

Speaking of Victory, is Hop Ranch coming back this year?

OP, you're living in the land of Grey Sail Captains Daughter! One of the best new DIPA in New England, IMHO. No more 3 hour road trips for you!

Hop Ranch is due out in January, I believe.

Wachusset Larry, Long Trail Limbo, SA Rebel, Otter Creek Overgrown. Maybe not DIPA but all worthy of regular consumption

Space Cake from Clown Shoes does not get enough attention. I don't know about availability in RI but Peoples Pint IIPA is sneaky good too and any of the hoppy offerings from Brewmaster Jack deserved attention. His single hop series for Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mosaic were excellent. I'll throw in Rt. 101 by Ipswich for an IPA.

    FW Double Jack
    Stone Ruination
    Wachusett Larry
    Alesmith Yulesmith
    Avery Maharaja
    Green Flash Palate Wrecker
    Founders Double Trouble
    Hop Stoopid
    Lagunitas Sucks

Tons of quality DIPA that are readily available. The recent release of Captain's Daughtr smashes most though, imo. I freakin' love that beer.

Right now I would have to lean towards either Founders Harvest Ale or Victory Harvest these are both single IPA's . I prefer the Victory to the Founders but both are great. Of course Laqunitas Sucks is hard to beat when you need to just pick up something great.

Ditto on CD....A real game changer in New England. The Yankee version of Hop Drop & Roll....

The Captain's Daughter could be great, but it's a bit of a diacetyl bomb.
These beers are good but not excellent, and I dare you to find fresh Double Jack.....Sucks is great, but seasonal and those 32oz ones that I've found are old as mummy shit.
Hop Ranch is awesome, but again seasonal.
Easy for you to say, you live in Mecca, lol. These are good, but not worthy.

I know I'm being a picky pain in the ass, but is there really any readily available IPA to keep up with the big boys??

This is an EXTREMELY regional question.
If you're in Jersey, the best answer is 077xx, IMO

    +1 for Avery Maharaja

    I also dig:
    Colorado Vixnu
Sixpoint Res and Hi-Res (readily available in season)
Green Flash Green Bullet and West Coast IPA
CCB Jai Alai, if you're in the distribution area
    Bell's Two Hearted

Like the posts, I feel like lots of good stuff gets overlooked by all the Hype. How about:
    LT: Limbo
    Otter creek: kind Ryed
    Smuttynose: Finest Kind
    Uinta: Hop Nos
    SN: Torpedo, Celebration-while it lasts

You don't seem enamored of any of the suggestions made. Maybe if you tell us everything that you know already doesn't cut it we can save time.

Slumbrew Flagraiser - my favorite everyday dIPA.
Brewmaster Jack Ambrewsia dIPA- dark horse from W. MA.
Mayflower IPA - I know this one is controversial, because it's well-balanced and you can actually taste a malt richness in it.

Larry hands down! Just check best by date on bottom. I think its 4 months from canning. At $10-11 a 6 pack, when fresh its best bang for buck in New England!
