Disappointed here in Texas that we are missing another release of the Enjoy by. I see they have announced a Enjoy by 12/5 but it is California only distribution. We have not seen anything since the 7/4. Thus, we have missed the 8/16, 9/20, 10/31, and now the 12/5. Think they are limiting this due to lack of interest or capacity?
Might be lack of capacity. Seems like these get gobbled up pretty quickly so reducing distribution for lack of interest doesn't seem likely. I went to the Liberty Station location a few weeks ago and they were already out of 10/31 on tap by then.
I do agree that some stores overbought the 7/4. But reduce the quantity, don't cut us out of the release completely Stone!
I never saw that to be the case around here. They just want us true lovers of Enjoy By to be missing it so after this long absence that we buy up all the extra that would otherwise accumulate.
Maybe its just me but I could really care less about this one. We have way too many IPA's around here that are many times just as fresh. The last couple times they were around, I skipped them over for local options.
I don't mind the Enjoy By series, think it's a pretty solid IPA. However, I'm curious as to when we'll start to see the Enjoy After ____ that has been coming out. That's got me interested for sure.
It's like a top 20 rated double IPA that is always VERY fresh when available, and is sold in texas I'd love to know what locals DIPAs are better. Endeavour not as good imo, hop delusion not always available, Heavy Machinery double is not always available, can't think of any DIPAs from Dallas or San Antonio that are better. Am I off here?
FTR, I'm not saying Enjoy By is bad or even close. Just saying I don't really care whether we get it or not and I think that leads to why we aren't getting it like we were before. Others are noticing too. It's not like Enjoy By is always available right? Haven't seen it in a while. But yeah, many hoppy IPA's/DIPA's are available fresh. Firestone is constantly sending fresh beers with easy to read dates. Sculpin is fresh a lot of the time, sometimes a week old. Greenhouse is always good. Yellow Rose is getting easier to find. While not doubles, they satisfy my hoppy urges. Batch 69 from Pinthouse currently walks all over any hop bomb from Tx IMO including any Enjoy By that I've ever had. I would rank it with Abrasive, Pliny and Heady.
I completely agree. I think Pinthouse is making the best IPAs in Texas by far. Batch 69 and the last batch of Best Coast IPA were particularly excellent: I'd take those over any other IPA from Texas, as well as over many IPAs from other states. Hugely underrated brewpub.
I routinely find > 1 year old double jack on my side of town. easy jack and wookie jack are just the same. sad faces. i'd buy those DJ four packs constantly otherwise.
That kinda sucks. Even at the HEB down the street here there is constantly fresh FW being brought in.
Living in Dallas, I sure don't find top notch fresh DIPA's. Thus, I love getting the Enjoy By. @PatrickInAustinTx I love the Sculpin and am amazed at how fresh we get it here in Dallas. I frequently find it less than 3 weeks old. Wonder how do they do it when other national breweries struggle?
